Charlie Hieronymus Pace

Charlie Hieronymus Pace was a survivor from the middle section of Oceanic 815. Before the crash, Charlie was the bassist and main songwriter for the rock band Driveshaft. When Flight 815 crashed, Charlie was snorting heroin in one of the plane's bathrooms. Charlie's drug addiction and crippling self-doubt were the biggest obstacles in his life. Like many of the Losties, the crash provided Charlie with a fresh start. On the Island, Charlie formed a relationship with Claire Littleton and her son Aaron.

After avoiding deaths foreseen by Desmond several times, Charlie finally died willingly to save the other survivors. He drowned on day 93, and his death is yet unknown to anyone except Desmond.

In the episode when Danielle makes her first appearance she said "They came and took my baby boy" So Alex is a boy not a girl.

Alex...my guess...watch the kidnapping in the season finale. The one that throws the bomb...yeah, the young blonde...the one that is out of focus and you actually have to slow down the shots to see her well...That's Alex.

Forget the legs...wherever Alex is, Walt is...I believe...which means, forget trying to figure out whose legs look sixteen and twelve or even five and rewatch the season finale in slow motion (right before the raft blows up)...then get back to me.

I thought that he was a boy as well, I will find that moment and make sure for myself...and then later on in the season, it was revealed that she was a girl. I think that beofre she is revealed to be a girl, french lady only calls it, her baby, her Alex...that's why the reveal comes great at the end of the season finale when you see the girl out of focus in the back of the boat.

Alex is definitely a girl. I'll have to search the DVDs to find out which episode it's revealed.

I've heard & read that lots of people think that blonde girl (who threw the bomb from the boatload of people who took Walt) is Alex, but personally, I think that's too easy!! It was my first thought when I saw her. But nothing in this great show follows our thoughts or intuitions! I think that's why everyone enjoys it so much!

Guess we'll see eventually who and where Alex really is!

Good point...we are always off one way or another, it keeps me tuning in!

That woman in the boat who threw the bomb is too old to be Danielle's daughter, unless Dharma had some kind of aging effect on her.

Default Alex is in Second Season
Alex shows up in Claires flashback of the Staff hatch. She is the one who frees Claire. Then Danielle (her mother) finds Claire and rescues her. It is like Alex knew her mother was going to find Claire. Her and Walt are special. And thats why they were taken.
