Johnathan "John" Locke
Johnathan "John" Locke is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. His paralysis was immediately healed upon crashing on the Island, which has ultimately led him to believe he has some sort of special connection to the Island. He is sometimes shown in antithesis to Benjamin Linus, sharing several traits including the ability to commune with Jacob. Seen as antithetical to Jack Shephard, he and Jack are philosophical opposites and used to share leadership among the survivors, but now seems to be creating his own agenda for his actions on the Island and has broken off from the survivors.

Locke's father will visit the island
I am pretty sure Locke's father will show up on the island at some point.
My only evidence is that his last name is Cooper, which I think is a reference to D.B. Cooper.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Db_cooper
D.B. Cooper was a hijacker who was last seen jumping out of a plane with a bag of ill-gotten money. Locke's dad was last seen getting on a plane (shall we assume Oceanic Air?) with a bag of ill-gotten money. It is a common occurrence on the island for people and things to fall out of the sky, and we all know Locke has unresolved issues with his dad.
That said, other people have pointed out that Locke's dad shares his name "Anthony Cooper" with the philosopher "Lord Anthony Ashley-Cooper" as other losties share names with famous philosophers. However, I've heard of Locke and Rousseau. Who's ever heard of "Lord Anthony Ashley-Cooper"?
Plus it seems likely Locke's father is the con man Sawyer is looking for. When he shows up on the island Sawyer will get his chance to kill him and Locke will need to confront an ambivalence about whether to protect him or not.
Also notice D.B. Cooper's ransom was $200,000, the same as Locke's cut in Lockedown. And now I'm reaching...

I've been wondering this myself lately as to whether or not Locke's dad will show up on the island or maybe already is on the island. I don't think he's going to fall out of a plane onto the island with his bag of money however. LoL, that would assume his plane has been flying for MINIMUM 2 months straight OR that he just keeps his bag of money with him at all times. lol, who knows...(and how in the world would you get through security with a huge bag of money!? lol...i know i laugh, but it really does make you wonder)
I love the possibility of Locke's dad being the real long con which helped create the character we now know, Sawyer. I also love the possibility of him getting to the island/being on the island already.
Great theory!

That is actually Zeke, there is a very miniman resemblance. I highly doubt its him, mostly because they are played by two different actors.

Well he was going to, then Helen walked in and flipped out. I have no idea if he went back in to get the money, probaly not though.
I think that the maid got "A hell of a tip".

If Locke did go back and get the money, I figure he had to spend it on medical bills when he had the accident which paralyzed his legs.
So far, in the flashbacks, he hasn't had very good jobs. The first one, time-line-wise (where he ends up losing a kidney), he was wearing a WalMart style uniform and working as a clerk in the toy department. Later, when he's living with Helen, he's self-employed (not much money for long-term disability, there, I think).
