Kate Austen

Kate Austen is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Kate is a fugitive, and was being pursued by Marshal Mars prior to the flight, for blowing up her father. Kate had been captured in Australia and was being escorted back to the United States before the crash. Kate has always seemed to run away from her past. Even on the Island, Kate exhibits a kind of evasive behavior to escape from her problems. Kate, when on the run, always had good intentions and never did any outright harm or killings to anybody, she believed she was doing things for the greater benefit of others. This view is prominently connected with her actions of her father's murder - she believed she was relieving her mother from his abusive presence. Kate is strong-willed, useful and clever, but dislikes being alone and is usually level-headed.

She has escaped from the captivity of the Others with Sawyer, and has formed an ambiguous romantic relationship with him, despite still being unsure about her feelings for Jack.

In the first post of this thread, poster says that the time warp theory is discredited but fails to provide any supporting evidence. What is it based on?

I personally think that the time warp theory is the most credible.

I'm thinking some of the "discredited" theories are actually going to end up being valid, I mean what else is left? Divine intervention? Damn, if they pull that one out of their hat I'm shutting off the t.v.

Just kidding! I'll follow it to the end.

Frank: No, the worst.

Yes I think that we have to watch and look at what was disproved and then use the loopholes in what they said to be what is happing... IMHO

I think the time warp theory can be discredited as I believe the authors are using something similiar inside; Parallel existence . Thus there is likely more than 6 that get off the island depending on which piece of the 'time threads' one ends up on.

A simple clue is all those passports of Bens. Could they all be correct and not forgeries?

Default Time warp

There is no time warp at all? I have read a great many theories about time warp and I did not tend to side with the idea. Time warp (if I am correct) is sort of like a time loop, correct?

time warp
n. A hypothetical discontinuity or distortion occurring in the flow of time that would move events from one time period to another or suspend the passage of time.
