unless this was a goof up on the writers part by not thinking ahead (and we all know how smart they are) then the plane crash takes place after 2003. shannon made a reference to the animated movie Finding Nemo on last nights rerun. that movie came out in 2003. so unless it's a goof then there's as good of a starting point as any to any kind of time line for the plane crash.

there was also a reference to harry potter in one of the episodes in season one (Not the one shown last night).

So that contributes to narrowing it down a bit, if someone else didnt notice that.
