Good People/Bad People?

I'm wondering why Alex (if that really was Alex) helped Claire. She was taken from her mother at a very young age, so she likely has known nothing but Dharma growing up. I would think that would make her more faithful to the Dharma cause. So why would she turn on them? The only reason I can come up with at the moment is that maybe she somehow knows, inherently, that what Dharma is doing is BAD. Dharma has done their best to brainwash her, but still some good remains.

Also, wasn't it an "Alex" that Zeke called on to bring out Kate during that confrontation by torchlight? How do you think a young girl like Alex could have the strength to manage Kate on her own?

Maybe she got her superhuman strength from her mother, who managed to carry a pregnant woman on her back halfway across the island.

Maybe Alex could tell that cutting babies out of people wasn't good...and then when they figured out she helped Claire escape, they drugged her.

I would think (hope) that all the Dharmans would recognize that cutting babies out of people wasn't good, but I think in their warped minds they could justify it. Alex doesn't seem so dedicated to the cause, maybe because she somehow knows she's not really one of them, or maybe she's just a rebellious teenager.

Another thing, I wonder why they never changed her name? Did they want her to keep some of her true identity for some reason?

And how did they know her name was Alex? Did Rosseau tell them before they took her baby?

Maybe someone infiltrated her camp as a spy, too.

I'm guessing "Female Alex" has a twin brother...(or clone)...the "Alex" that had Kate had a MALE forearm, and is fully Otherized...the Girl we saw last night, goes by another name **spoiler** starts with a letter that is not A.

Yeah, I thought she had another name, now I can't remember what it was. Maybe that Other Alex was someone completely different that the writers threw it just to mess with us...

Maybe this injection made girl Alex stronger than normal.

Maybe Alex had clothing with her name on it. Or when they took her, Danielle was yelling for Alex. Or Danielle has captured dharma people before, and they made it back to dharma and shared the news.

The first thing that Michael did when they took Walt was, scream his name about a million times. You have to think Danelle did the same. She still says Alex all the time and it's been 16 years.

Infact, that is the first think we ever hear her say. "where's Alex?"
