2 most important people theory

just joined and having a great time reading all the theories. Hope you enjoy mine.
It Seems odd to me that there are only 3 people older than 40, and the way Locke runs around (and smacks around supposed druggies) I don't see him as older. But the two people I think are going to be very important in the long run are Rose and Bernard. Hurley said that Bernard is a dentist, and that I'm not so sure about. I think he may be a scientist, and learned denistry since you have to take care of your teeth, especially if you KNOW you are going to be someplace without dentists.

Libby noticed that the newest things in the Hatch were the washer and dryer. Rose was ALWAYS doing laundry, and then conviently took into the hatch once Locke found it, and wouldn't you want the tools you use most if you KNOW you are going to be someplace for a long time. I'm going to ramble here a bit I guess, on little things, but Rose kept a candy bar, since she said her husband loved candy bars. Well, that seems odd to me, since he's a dentist, wouldn't he have some aversion to them, maybe not, it just seems odd to me.

I don't know why I feel that Rose and Bernard are part of the Degruts, I just do, I keep thinking that there are clues there for me to see, but I think the biggest one is that we haven't seen a flashback of them yet.

If anyone can help me out with this, or has this feeling, please respond.

there's an old saying; a carpenters house is always the last to be fixed. maybe it's the same way with dentists? maybe it's all part of the "forbidden fruit" thing with dentists, you crave what you know is bad for you.
as for rose and bernard being not who they are saying they are, that's very interesting. they are kinda flying under the radar for what seems like a long time to go without some kind of a flashback. have to keep an eye on those two.

No way there is anything fishy about Rose and Bernard. They are the sweetest couple and they are a refreshing sight among all the other camp
members who (God love them ) are so self absorbed and don't have what it
takes to be in a committed relationship like Rose and Bernard.
As for the candy - the whole candy makes your teeth rot deal is just
something that parents tell their children. No one particular food is bad
for your teeth as long as you take care of them. Poor diet can affect your oral health but the lactic acid in milk and fructose in fresh fruit is just
as bad for your teeth as candy sugar if you don't clean it off.
Rose said she didn't use the washer and dryer because she didn't
like the hatch. I guess it is a little creepy.
I just can't buy them as a member of the DeGruts/ Hasns group.

I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere that the episode after "maternity leave" will help us get to know Rose and Bernard a little bit more. So maybe we will see...

it also seemd like Rose knew her husband was alive, not just faith like the show made you seem. I don't know, they seem to be the right age for scientists who would have been important to the Dharma project.

I think Rose just had a feeling. Spouses can do that, sometimes. Or they just hope that their significant other isn't dead. But Rose prayed.

But you're right, they are old enough to be involved with Dharma.

Also, she said the monster sounded familiar to her, and the hatch creeped her out, WHY? because her husband, Alvar Han..., I mean Bernard constructed both, and she knows what they are, if not exactly!

I'm not saying you wrong; I listen to all theories. I just don't want it to be true. I like Rose and Bernard.
I think that Rose, like Walt has natural mental abilities that let her know Bernard was still alive. The same abilities made her dislike the hatch. As for the sounds, If you go with the theory that they were put on the island by Dharma she may have some kind of subconscious memory of it.
I may be wrong but, I'll watch and see. If your right, I'll come back here and give you "MAD PROPS!"
