I'm sure this has been discussed before, but this theory just came to me as I’m watching the entire series, getting geared up for the final season...
I think that some passengers from 815 were 'teleported' off the flight prior to the crash, similar to what happened to the other flight 3**... Maybe the plane wasn't suppose to crash, but did due to Desmond’s actions.... That would mean that only certain people are suppose to be on the island, and possibly the ones that 'die' weren't suppose to be there in the first place... Just thought I would throw that out there.... |

I like this idea! Makes you wonder about Jacob's list and the actions of Desmond. Destiny, pre-determined or coincidence? How would he have 'brought' the particular passengers of 815 to the island unless he knew that Desmond would have missed the button at the moment 815 was overhead? Kind of like the season finale. How did he bring the Black Rock to the island? And why is it smack in the middle of it? Did he move the island to the location of the ship via the Donkey Wheel right after the beach conversation with black shirt? Because the ship wasn't located anywhere [i]near[i] the coast.

I think the original crash could have been caused by an electromagnetic anomoly when Desmond killed the guy who taught Sayid to torture because he was trying to steal the boat Libby gave him, and subsequently missed the button which was only there because Jack detonated a nuke in 1977 for a laugh.
Man this show is ****ed up. |

You think it's ****** up now wait til Season 6 starts rolling out answers we don't want or expect. Then.....naaaa! I'm down with my Lost no matter what. Uh, unless Alf from Melmack is responsible for this whole thing.

Alf... Melmeck.... that's digging pretty deep into the television-alien archives! *giggle* Well, if Alf does show up we know Vincent will be okay - Alf only ate cats... wait... has anyone seen Mikhail's cat, Nadia?
