People can really make some good stuff up...

I think some fans of lost are over looking the reality of this tv show. These people are not apart of another planet or anything. There is some relation with them and the island but the reason why the others want the children is because they want their "civilization" to continue. I'm predicted that the cloud is "nanotechnology" and there is some mysterious power to the island in relation to the Dharma Project. And for those fans with these rediculous ideas about god and religion I just think you're way off. There hasn't ever been a show with the basis of religion. Sure there is the relation of Mr Ecko and religon but I don't think there is a whole religious explanation for the island and the way things have happened. Everyone on the show has some relation with eachother but I don't find that odd as much as everybody else does. In real life millions of people have remarkable and strange relations or occurences with people. Everyone is connected some way or another and everything we do is going to affect someone or something. People end up in the same places all the time but no one really notices it.

I agree 100% with what you say. Thank god some one has the balls to say something! Some of these theories out there are just so ridicoulos and so in depth i think the writers of the show are laughing

Yeah, I know the ones I write go overboard. Nanotechnology is a extrememly interesting idea that I am looking forward to see on the show and in the real world.

I do not think LOST takes place in perfect reality, there is just a wee bit of Fiction.

Wow, maybe you two should just watch Survivor instead.

I too believe that religion and God or anything faith based has no bearing on the mystery behind the strange happenings on Strandee Island. Science or perhaps the misuse of science brought them there. But will it help them find their way off?

The producers have talked about the show, saying that one producer is a scientific/logic writer while the other goes from a more religous aspect. While the show may not contain actual religion, faith in one's self is just as strong or stronger then any religion on the market. You can see different types of faiths in this show, Locke, Eko, and Jack has faith in what's right, maybe slightly losing that. But as it may not have anything to do with God, Budha, or Confucious, this show does deal a lot with faith.

Yes, who says there can't be any religious influence at all? This isn't a religious show, but like Sputnik said - it has to do with each person's views of faith (or lack thereof.)

Anyway...

Faith in the Island that is (or lack of). The servants of the Island have a cult-ish faith in the Island. "Boone was a sacrifice".

Faith in everything, faith in mankind, faith in god, faith in one's self, faith in the island. It's all represented in the show.
