Jin-Soo Kwon
Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

Nano Bots ... Michael Chriton's book "Prey" (if I remember correctly) They are tiny little machines (man made) that form a cloud, a black cloud.
The monster could be the eye of the island. the security system.
If you notice the pilot looks like Gerald Degrut (you know in the 8mm film, don't believe me, slow it down -- there's a reason JJ uses his best friend at the most essential parts of the LOST story)
the pilot a clone...used to bring these people here.
Uh, he didn't die...and then the nano bots take him (like they pulled LOCKE) and killed him -- now he can't share anymore information -- the nano botts haven't killed anyone else...
Of course we think that this is coinsidence...so that we don't get anymore information, but in LOST there is no such thing as coincidence! We should understand that by now!
Also, LOCKE has seen the eye of the island and it was beautiful! He wanted to be taken by the machines because he had faith in them.
What if they are being controlled by a "wizard of OZ" of some sort.
I think it's being controlled ... it scans people, calculating them, of their thoughts like a copier machine -- when it is scanning, calculating SHAFT you can hear that scanning like noise...then listen to Locke's calculator in Season 1, episode 4, right before we go to commercial when Locke is introduced in his flashback at his office...
What do you think?
And, JediToad, you still haven't answered my question on your thoughts of the clone thingy I brought up on this post, page 1...
I like yur theories...I like that you have imagination -- "There is no try, there is only do or do not..."

Yes, however...they may have changed Jack -- but they used the same actor for the pilot and Mr. Degrut in 8mm film
Check it out and then get back to me.
Come on...I obviously know the inside scoop on how they were going to kill Jack, but they needed a hero, the audience needed a hero.
I am asking you to watch the 8mm and look at the pilot, you can even check Felicity and Alias...they are all teh same guy...this is no coincidence, or accident...no one makes accidents like that...instead of proving me wrong, where can we go with this?

Check It Out!
Has anyone checked out the 8mm? Can anyone please, maybe, just maybe go with me on this one?
I mean, you reply to people who write about the entire plane being on one big acid trip...
Yet when I ask to take a look at the 8mm footage and the pilot and find that degrut looks a lot like him -- no one does it.
Is this a place where we come up with theories on only ONE LEVEL or may I assume everyone here can actually think on different levels?
I am afraid to assume, I don't want to make an ass out of me or YOU!
Now, watch it! And stop playing these little mind games where "LOST Execs" goofed. I am in this business...I know that goofs (especially in mythology writing) can be written out of. Their smart, remember that...
WATCH IT! Get back to me!

Ok Ok I am going to a site that plays it now. Please consider that we have lives (believe it or not ). So lets take a breather and wait until either me or someone else answers your distress call.

If you are talking about the pilot who was ripped out of the cockpit (and I
can't think of another one) I don't think they look anything alike.
Also the age would be all wrong. The pilot is in his 30's in 2005 or whenever
this is supposed to be taking place - DeGrut would be in his late 60's or early
70's by now. I 'm basing that on the fact he was a doctoral candidate in the late 60's which would make him in his late 20's or early 30's when the 1970's started. Even if they were experimenting with life extension I don't think
that would account for his looking THAT young 35 years later and their
facial structure is quite different - at least to me. It really is hard to tell
since in the film he has on such thick glasses and so much thick black hair.
