Mr. Eko

Eko, also known as Mr. Eko or Father Tunde, was one of the tail section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He was a notorious war lord and drug smuggler in Nigeria before his brother Yemi's death. To get out of his country he hastily became a priest, but after Yemi's death, he seemed to take his role more seriously. Eko survived on the Island for 72 days before he was killed by the Monster.

not too hard.
what if he survived the blast, though, only to be eaten by sharks?

I'm all for Jin being alive! But an explosion of that magnitude seems hard to get away from unless Jin moves in Superman speed when he swims. Well he was the son of a fisherman, so he just might have!

But interesting idea that he might just find the removed island as being drifted by the current or something. I doubt the island just 'vanished' but is just.... (remember Halliwax video which rwds right at this point of his explanation?) Bearings must have changed with the turn of the wheel and Jin's wheel of Karma might just take him to some dry land which he knows too well.

wow. this whole time i was convinced that Jin was alive and that the episode where Sun has her baby.... well, I thought it was all flashforward and that Jin lost his memory when he left the island (however he did) (like Desmond with the memory thing) and therefore, I was bloody confused when he was suddenly dead at the end? I still don't think that his was a flashback... after all... if the panda was a gift to Mr Paik as a congratulations for his becoming a grandfather... and it was a flash back... does that mean Sun has a child already? before coming to the island?
I thought he lost his memory (maybe Mr. Paik knows something about Widemore and the two are connected and knew Jin would lose his memory upon his return...or figured something out with Widemore somehow, a deal,...after all.. he never liked Jin right? Any excuse to keep him from her daughter, and what better way than Sun thinking Jin was dead?) and therefore doesn't remember Sun, and Sun thinks he's dead. But here he is, alive, delivering a panda to Mr. Paik in congrats of his granddaughter (it was a girl right?)... I thought all along both were flashforwards.. maybe im wrong..

The panda was a gift FROM Mr. Paik to congratulate the Chinese Minister on becoming a grandfather.

If one of these 2 survived, it has to be Jin.

How could Michael have survived when we saw the boat explode right after Christian said "You can leave now Michael" ? Michael has been trying to kill himself for a while now, but the island wouldn't let him. This proves to me that after helping the others leave the boat in time, the island thought Michael's work is finally done and that he can go in peace.

Jin COULD have jumped from the boat, but we surely didn't see him do so, and neither did the people on the helicopter.

And seriously, with the amount of C4 that was on the bomb, if any of these 2 survived.... heh

As much as I'd like Jin to be alive I think I would be disappointed in LOST if they write some crazy loophole into the story to keep him on the show. I love how unpredictable it all is and never knowing if what you are seeing is reality, but when you see Jin on a freighter that blows up it doesn't seem very likely that any of the islands tricks would be able to protect him. Unless they allude to his survival in previous episodes, I don't want them to say "sorry, we were tricking you again!" The way they have Sun going around seeking revenge, I think that is our clue that his death is meant to stick.

...just watch him come strolling onto the island at the start of season 5.

Well obviously Sun isn't supposed to know that Jin is still alive. By keeping his survival a secret, he is in turn protecting her and the baby. He is sacrificing his happiness in order to save them. He knew that if Sun found out that he was alive, she would risk her life and the baby's life to be with him again.

I like Jin. I hope he is still alive. It was weird to know he was dead, but then still see him at the end of the season.

If there's doubt about Michael being alive, then Walt may have more of a reason to go back to the island; he may want to find out if his dad's alive; he might also want to look for his doggy.
