Shannon Rutherford

Shannon Rutherford was a middle section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 and was Boone's stepsister, who she frequently argued with. Shannon survived on the Island for 48 days before she was unintentionally shot and killed by Ana-Lucia Cortez.

Default Black Rock

Don't know if anyone proposed this idea, but what if the last time the island was moved it just so happened to share the same space as the Black Rock when it materialized, trapping it in the middle of the island. This could be a way to explain this mystery, plus if the captain was like WTH happened here, jotted down his location and bearing via compass in his journal, that journal washed up in another country somehow and was found later on down the line by his ancestor who used the island for the Dhama Initiative - The Hanso Line - and then Whidmore somehow caught wind and has been trying to find it ever since.

That does give an answer to a baffling question, I had thought that the Black Rock found the island, but it could be that the island found the Black Rock. Meaning the Ship was one minute sailing in the ocean when perhaps the sky turned purple the earth shook and the next thing they new the ship was on dry land. That would be cool.We need more info from the Captians journal.

that would give a great explanation as to how the black rock got where it is. good thinking. perhaps the boat's inhabitants then became the others who purged the dharmas.

wonder if the movement of the island can explain the four toed statue???

I think this is a novel idea. It could very well explain how that ship ended up in the middle of the island. Great thought!!!!
