Johnathan "John" Locke
Johnathan "John" Locke is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. His paralysis was immediately healed upon crashing on the Island, which has ultimately led him to believe he has some sort of special connection to the Island. He is sometimes shown in antithesis to Benjamin Linus, sharing several traits including the ability to commune with Jacob. Seen as antithetical to Jack Shephard, he and Jack are philosophical opposites and used to share leadership among the survivors, but now seems to be creating his own agenda for his actions on the Island and has broken off from the survivors.

I just had a horrible thought. What if it's Vincent in the coffin? What if the Others and the Freighter people discover that Vincent is a powerful, all-seeing, all-knowing dog and team up to do him in. Granted it is extremely unlikely that even combined they could take him, but it is a tv show and we have to suspend disbelief at some point.
It would explain everything! That's why the funeral is in Michael's old neighborhood, since Vincent was with Walt and Michael a lot. Well ok, it wouldn't explain everything, just that one thing.
The reason Kate wouldn't want to go to the funeral was because it would be too sad for her. I mean, who wouldn't be devastated at the thought of Vincent being dead? I'm near tears just thinking about it!
Poor Vincent!
Nah, I'm just joking. They couldn't possibly kill off Vincent. Nobody would bother watching the upcoming seasons. Without Vincent, there is no Lost!

I agree 100%. Vincent is the heart of the show!

They already lost a lot of viewers from The Constant.

The thought of the timeline being one of the unsolved mysteries is not something that I hope is true, it is merely out there and worth thinking about as it does solve many issues, such as who may be in the coffin. Someone we already know is not dead.
