I think it did, too, Wednighter. That's what made everyone originally speculate that it was Michael (and the teenage son would be Walt, of course). But then the newspaper article was re-edited for the following season, wasn't it?

I'll also try and dig up as much info as I can on the subject and let you know, yes in the first edition it did say something about a teenage son, we all thought Michael..

Wednighter - see if you can find out if the text was changed between seasons. It seems like the newspaper said one thing and then when we came back for the next season they (darlton et al) decided to make the article say something a little different (similar to the rescuees' press conference in the airplane hangar, where they changed a few things). AND, if the article is indeed talking about Locke -> who is his teenage son?

The article that the episode's newspaper prop is based on is from the April 5th, 2007 edition of the Los Angeles Times, which was first reported by the LA Times itself on May 24, 2007. [2]

I thought the article said New York, not Los Angeles? And did the rewritten article say a teenaged son or not?
