Me too! Especially considering Ben has never once given Locke even 1 completely true fact about the island. Not once! He's in competition with Locke (or was until last night) for leadership of the island, and they both know it. Why would Ben give away a huge secret like that to his biggest rival?

Afterl last nite's episode, my belief is that the island is trying to "reset" itself. Find a new group of inhabitants, new explorers, new leader. Moving the island is why CW can never find it.

You people all assume that Locke's dad/Cooper came through on purpose, that Ben wanted him to come.
At the same time, a large group is saying how Locke is destined to be part of the Island and Richard had some part of his destiny.

The disconnect should be clear... If Locke is the chosen one, that his dad just came through because the Island decided that is what NEEDS to happen. Not Ben deciding, the ISLAND.

I have assumed all along that the island was the one making the decisions. That at different times the island has its messenger. Be it Horace at Ben's birth, be it Richard with Locke at a couple of different times, be it Matthew Abbadon with Hurley or Locke. The emmisarry that the island chooses is important because that person is the best connection to the island. That is why we are looking for the new people I think.
