Claire Littleton
Claire Littleton is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. She is Jack Shephard's half-sister, although neither of them knows this. She is the mother of Aaron Littleton who was born on the Island soon after the crash, and has done her best to raise Aaron. During her time on the Island, she entered a relationship with fellow survivor, Charlie Pace.

As with many things that Ben says there is probably something to this so called "magic box" , but I don't think it should be taken so literally.
If he had access to a "magic box" that could produce anything or anyone, then why not just do the hocus pocus and snatch up Widmore. Or why go through all the elborate schemes to capture Jack, Kate, and Sawyer when he could just wish them up.
Anyways...... a "magic box" that could produce anything you want could be just a computer connected to the internet.

That's what's at the temple! The two giant Hamsters! sorry, seriously what if Ben did have something that he could send his henchmen through to abduct Cooper and bring him back?

I personally think that when Tom when to NY to see Michael Richard also went and kidnapped Cooper.. That would have been before Locke blew up the sub and that could have been how they go back to the "outside world"

That should put the kabash on the plane mysteriously replicating at both the Island and trench. I really think the fake 815 was planted so that the search for the survivors would cease.
to Folie au Deux's point about Locke's dad:
I don't think he thought he was kidnapped (although looking at it in hindsight, he most likely was). I believe he thought he was dead.
|
I actually believe that in the deleted scenes in one of the boxed sets, the pilot is seen taking his ring off while in a lounge at the airport. The lack of a ring on his finger in the underwater trench footage is what Lapidus thought was wrong. That's how it can be that the same people are in the two different places at the same time. They all died on the plane, but they also crashed on the Island and most died right away, but a few survived even though it seems their numbers are going to keep dropping.
This is probably one of the lies that Ben held back last night. We know he's always lying about something important - it's just in his nature, being a complete scumbag.

Jane: Goodyear?
Frank: No, the worst.
