I wathed the first session of Lost and these are only guesses but think about it , it’s true!
They have been testing to see how people can live primitively. There were some other people in this island for testing. At the beginning a ship crashed to the island and they lived there for some times. This became a concept of testing people to see how they can live on primitive way. The first group who had been sent there for experiment were includes Jack's dad, Kate's mom and the Hugo's psycho friend. The second group was military people which include Daniel, and the third group is these people. All of them are chosen! And each one of them is chosen for a special skill that has. For example, Locke for hunting and surviving, Jack for medical, Jin for fishing, Sun for farming and knowing the plant for curing ... These people has been gathering to make a civilization. This is my guess until now, because we know a little about them.
All that happened in plane crash was fake, people who used oxygen mask they became drugged and sent to the island in Africa, the only person who didn't use the mask was the black women, and therefore she knows her husband is alive. One of the reasons of this is during the plane crash Charlie was in bathroom in FRONT of the plane, but as you saw the front part of the plane was crashed completely in the jungle!!!
Some of these people are somehow know what is going on such as Locke, he doesn't know what is going on the island but he knows a little about what is behind all of this. For example, he hid after Boone died because of curing his legs by the others, before Boone dies he was loosing his legs again but after he hid, his legs were fixed!! Also he has a deal with the others which is fixing his legs.
Jack was not chosen for this mission, it was his dad who has been related to the other, because of his addiction to alcohol jack was forced to be on this mission. It’s because of his humanity. At the beginning of the firs session as you saw people were put in dangerous situation to force Jack to be on this game! Such as the black women who were dying and he helped her.
Kate knows about the other more than anybody else. This is because she is revenging her mother and husband from the other. Also, the rubbery in bank was all fake; she did it to find her husband stuff.

Pay more attention to these: Spanish comic, curing Claire after she came back, breathing of Ethen when he was buried, death of Wault's mom and it's relation to Kate, Geographical coordinates and Hugo's number! ....

Well i just read this 3 times and still dont know what the theory is.. so if anyone could translate.. that 'll be great.

I'm not joking around, I really read through that a couple of times and I still don't know what he/she is trying to say, and some of it doesn't make sense, like the robbery being fake and ****e....

i dont think the plane crash was set up because in the other 48 days they show the tail section smash into the water. Whos dream was that? They showed us that because it really happened. The Charlie thing was probably a slip.

Also, Rose was using the oxygen mask.
