The "spook" guy also admitted he was a fake psychic, and that an unknown party paid him some amount of money (probably 23,000 or 42,000) to tell claire what he told her. It was in one of EKo's stories.

I've read posts where people are saying that Kate's son is 3 - 3 1/2. This would mean she had him long before the plane crash. Maybe she had a kid and gave it to someone for safekeeping. When she returned from the island she picked him up and re-named him Aaron.
|
Maybe she didn't re-name him and that was his name all along. Could explain why she was weird about picking up baby Aaron on the island. There is a lot about Kate that hasn't been explained yet and she gets upset about weird things sometimes.
Did they ever explain how she got to Australia?

wrong! She never said anything about "while Kate was missing" just prolonged for 4 years.
at least i dont think I tend to speak before I should though...
AND way back in Season 1 when kate hooked up the MRI or whatever with her high school buddy her mom looked pretty beat up already...

Long time viewer first time poster here----
Comment:
I honestly don't think that Kate did anything in a milicious nature to bring Aaron off the island, wether that be to simply just have a baby, or to use him for leverage so she don't go to jail because of the way she hurried to see him when she got home and the way she hugged him.
Question:
Why would Jack not want to see Aaron? Why would Kate's mom want to see Aaron like it was her true grandson, and furthermore why would Kate not want her mom to see Aaron?
Also at the end of the last season remember Kate saying "I have to go I have to get back to him" I am assuming now "him" refered to Aaron.
Theory:
There was an original Oceanic 7. (Jack, Kate, Syid, Hurly, Ben, Claire, Saywer) Something happens to Claire on the way back home on the helicopter ride. The oceanic 7 then becomes the Oceanic 6. Kate being the only other woman promises claire that she will Raise Aaron. I am thinking that Claire has fallen out of the heli or is thrown out after she has died. When they return home Sawyer dies and is the man in the coffin. Kate doesn't want to go see sawyer because they had a fall out somewhere along the line of present day-rescue. Sawyer's mom and dad are dead. No one on the island really liked Sawyer so that would explain why no one would come see him. The person in the coffin apparently resides in a roughed up neighborhood which would fit Sawyers personality.
I don't know I could go on and on but I think it may play out like this. Maybe this is to simplistic and we all know LOST prays on us simplistic folks...
Let me know what you guys think.

I think his vision about Claire was his 1st REAL psychic experience ever. He freaks out and tells Claire to leave when it happens because he knows he's a fake and was shocked by it. Then, because he knows it's true, he does everything he can to get her to keep Aaron. Finally, when that doesn't work, he tricks her into getting into a situation where he knew she would have to raise him by herself. He knew the plane would crash on the island. (His 2nd psychic experience.) Claire and Charlie figure that out that he planned to get her on Flight 815 back in Season 1.

Here's my question: Where is Thomas, Aaron's bio-dad? If the O6 have the most recognizable faces in the world, and there is an official Oceanic Air Flight Manifest to confirm all the passengers died on the plane in the Sunda Trench, why wouldn't Aaron just be given back to his father, or at least his father's family? Or even Claire's next of kin - her Aunt Lindsey?

Good point- he did look genuinely freaked. And did change his story rather fast as to whether she should keep him or not- probably after being visited by whom ever paid him off.
