Libby's Little Secret

Libby is Dharma.
Libby is possibly the little girl on the island that was Ben's best friend. I know the girls name was Annie, but maybeeee...... it is her.
Libby was only in the crazy house where Hurley was in order to spy on the guy who repeated the numbers over and over to try to learn something. She was merely acting insane.
Libby loaned the boat to Desmond in order to get him onto the island.
Libby didn't go to see Ben while he was a prisoner (pretending to be Henry Gale the balloonist) because she didn't want Ben to recognize her.

Sweet little Libby who I had loved...... I have become convinced she had some big secrets.

Hey, not bad...not a bad idea at all. This could also tie her to Dharma if they enlisted her help after she left the Island as a youngster.

So how did Annie/Libby get off the Island? How did they get past The Others? I wonder if they will show what happened to her after the Purge? I assumed she was dead.

the only problem I see with my theory concerns her being Annie.
Libby by timeline birth, is about 4 to 5 years younger than Ben.
But Annie seems to be, in my mind, at most maybe only 1 or 2 years younger than Ben or maybe even the same age.... that part is foggy in my mind though.

If not Annie, I still think she is Dharma and would be recognized by Ben.

Since we don't know what happened to Annie, and I think Libby is Dharma, and there ages are relatively close..... that is why my gut feeling is that she might be Annie.

If she is Annie, maybe she left the island as a young adult maybe on a "recruiting" trip for prospective new Dharma members. If so, she would not have been there for the Purge.

I like it... I had this thought that Danielle was Annie, brainwashed to believe she was shipwrecked and killed all her mates, to fool the Others and Smokey for Ben, but this could work too.

If you guys read about the upcoming season @ EW.com, you'll see there is this group called teh Maxwell group, and they have a website that has a crest quite like Mrs. hawkings broach, the reptile or snake, perhaps Libby was a plant from the beginning, making sure everyone did as they should. Desmond, Hurley, Or the crazy number spewer.. and then Hurley when he learned about the numbers.

First off Cable I am 100% sure Danielle is not Annie. First off because Ben isn't the real dad. Second because she is French. You can't turn someone into someone else. Also brainwashing isn't that easy.

My theory is the same. Accept more detailed. Like she was working with Calvin. That she wanted to get Hurley drunk on Two for the Road. I've watched all episodes with Libby very closely. I say her flashback in dave it looked like she didn't take any pills at all. Also if you watch when she looks scared and when she looks happy it shows alot.

I don't think you can go by expected ages in Lost. I mean, Lock is supposed to be Swoozie Kurtz and Thatotherguy's son? Look at the three of them: they look like they could all go to the same high school reunion! He's their friggin' contemporary. I feel like there are other examples but I can't come up with them now...

A couple people so far have said that Libby is Dharma. What does that mean exactly? She's a robot or something? How does that work? And if Libby is human and she is a Dharma plant, an interesting question is what's in it for her? Has she been promised something (maybe along the lines of how Juliette was promised her sister would be cured of cancer if she stayed on the island). Money or something more emotionally valuable? Something to do with her husband maybe....or to do with Hurley? Thoughts?

She is a member of Dharma. Thats what we mean.

Dharma is like a cosmic collection of Masons or the Illuminati... lol.

The committed Dharma folks have a cohesiveness of spirit and purpose (if you exclude Roger the Workman and his son). They believe in what they are doing.
Maybe there is a reward of some sort... but I doubt it would be like a financial reward. Dharma members reward would be that of retaking the island and continuing their work that they strongly believe in.

Pip., I'm not saying my theory of Danielle is 100% correct, but I'd like to see some proof of how it's 100% wrong as well. We don't really understand what the monster is, we never saw what happened to Annie, and we've never seen a graveyard of Danielle's fallen mates, or the ship she claims she wrecked. Until i see these, I'm not going to rule out that Danielle is Annie. Plus, why can't it be possible that Ben is the father. He still sems to care for her after all the things she has done to him... ratting on his plan with Karl to the Losties and giving a gun to locke to name a few. Maybe, the women not being able to give birth is a direct punishment for Ben being allowed to have a child on the island... who knows. I know brainwashing isn't easy, but I'd take that task over creating a 'smoke monster with brains and a plan'.

Sorry to jack the thread, I like all the ideas, and never gave much thought to Libby. I guess I will have to going forward.
