Desmond David Hume

Desmond David Hume was the lone resident of the Swan at the time of the Flight 815 crash. He was discovered by Locke, Kate and Jack a month later after they had blown open Hatch. After his failed attempts to leave the Island, Desmond joined the camp of survivors. Following the destruction of the Swan, Desmond gained a mysterious ability to see flashes of the future, with which he predicted Charlie's imminent death.

Do you mean the drug plane or flight 815? Maybe he was on both! Maybe Hanso has brought him to the island before, once on the drug plane, then again on flight 815?

Try this bubble gum for the mind. It appears each episode of LOST has a theme of redemption or demon battle with thier flashbacks and it also appears that next episode will be about Mr. Ecko. Also, let's agree that Mr Ecko and the drug plane are connected and he is a man of the cloth or of deep faith.

We see in next week's episode that Ecko smaches the drugs in front of Claire. Obviously he knows that the Virgin Mary Statue is to herion what a long pinky nail is to cocaine.
My theory on the connection is Ecko was in a monestary or some type of "religion university" where he met the men who were in the infamous drug plane. The reason they were dressed as priests is because they got the idea from Ecko's new path in life (after his separation from his wife lead him to the monestary, possibly due to her death) or were acutally his frat brothers in the monestary. That's the jist of the theory for his plot. This would allow Mr Ecko to get redemption with the plane incident or a similar drug-related incident. Hey maybe his wife OD'd on the Virgin Mary H.

By the way Blackbird, nice catch on Ecko's dyslexia on 23 Psalm.
