Jacob...is...Dharma. The Ultimate Jacob Thread.

Yeah he is Dharma. Look at a the Dharma brain washing video. In it you see lots of Dharma things. Plus on season 3 DVD it is Labeled "Dharma Brainwashing Video"

In the video it says "God loves you like he Loved Jacob"

This means Dharma knows about Jacob. So either they Loved means he used to be Dharma but turned. Or he is still Dharma and the Loved means past love and current love. Or maybe Jacob died or faked his death? Maybe Dharma Experiments are to blame for the reason Locke couldn't see him at first. Why did he say "Help Me". Maybe He is held hostage by the Cerberus or the Others. What are his lists for? What do they mean? Why didn't Ben here what Jacob said to Locke? Can Jacob speak in peoples heads? Does he have a power were he can make people not see him and people not here him sometimes. One reason he may have said Help Me was because he knew it would be something Locke would pay atiention to. Ben shoots Locke because he heard Jacob. So if Locke didn't here Jacob he wouldn't have been shot and wouldn't be able to see "Walt" and Kill Naomi. Maybe Jacob can see the future? Another reason why his lists would be important. Did Jacob figure out how to change the core equation of the numbers? Maybe thats why the others are listening to him. Maybe thats why they take whatever there doing so serious.

This fact that Dharma new about Jacob and that they loved him at a time opens up tons of theories.

If you want you can think up some more theories or post what you think about mine.

But even if the brain washing video was made by Dharma. How do we know Ben and his gang didn't alter the video to include the part about Jacob.
Also it is important to remember that Ben was a part of Dharma.
Its kinda hard to speculate about the video Karl was being forced to watch. It contained images of the Degroots so you could take that and say "oh its a Dharma video" But what if it had images of Mickey Mouse? Would you automatically assume that it was a Disney video?
No. I just don't think we can say anything for sure about the Room 23 video.

Actually i got on Fanpop and they had stuff that is in Season 3 DVD. Like deleted Scenes ect. and it included the full brain washing video. It is also label Dharma brain washing video so it IS Dharmas video. And how could the others alter it? That is a bit to far fetched IMO. Also I doubt the others needed to brain wash that much. Who would they brain wash before the Losties came? Plus they made no attempt to brain wash Sawyer, Kate, or Jack. When I watched the full video I knew it was Dharma. And not just because it was called "Dharma Brain Washing Video"

Ben was only a work man for Dharma also. Most of his time there not as a kid he was problaly secretly plotting with the others.

But more about Jacob. Less about the video.

Well since your whole reasoning behind saying
Jacob is Dharma
is based on the fact that the video has the line

Then you pretty much have to talk about the video.
You make a lot of good points and you may be right.
I just don't think there is enough evidence to say the connection between Jacob and Dharma is a fact.
Check out this from the season 3 finale:

ALEX: You locked Karl in a cage. You put him a room and tried to brainwash him.
BEN: I didn't want him to get you pregnant. I suppose I overreacted. We better get going.

Ben definitely used the video to attempt to control Karl. Who's to say he hasn't used it before to try and control others?

Well......
The others brought Juliet to the island.
They apparently kidnapped Locke's dad and brought him to the island.
They were able to supply Jack with a video of off island current events.
They purged the Dharma Initiative and took over the entire island.
Juliet and Ethan performed operations on "other" women trying to deal with the whole pregnacy problems.
They have detailed files and background info on the losties.
They have/had people that can operate a submarine.
If they can do all this then a little film editing shouldn't be a problem.

There were other Dharma films that were edited as well... Only parts were taken out.. Like the Swan.. Just my 2 cents

Sigh let me explain once again. How would Dharma know about Jacob? So it is a fact Dharma knows who Jacob is. They Also though god loved and/or loves Jacob so that means they problaly used to like or never stopped liking Jacob. Also if you remember what videos where edited they were edited by Dharma not the Others. Like Caleb edited that one video. Some Dharma workers took out so clips. Putting clips in the middle of a video would be impossible. So the others did not add that in. And the others did not make that video because it is obviously Dharma plus is labled "DHARMA Brain washing video"

You need to understand that all those things you listed are not that hard and are necessary for them. Editing a old video made by Dharma in the 70's to add clips in the middle of it and still make it work is risky and difficult. They would just use the ordinary video. He didn't want to turn Karl to Dharma's side he just wanted to put him in a place where he can't escape until Ben decides what to do with him so he won't get Alex pregnant. Also sense Ben raised Alex he does care for her. If you remember when you were a kid you should remember what they would have done if a boy got your pregnant. All parents/guardians overreact on things like this.

Jacob had to at one time be somehow involved with Dharma. For the very least Dharma KNEW who Jacob was. I am not sure if he worked with them or not.

The "video" was actually a flim on a projector and all you need to do to edit film is cut it
then insert a new piece of film
and glue it together.
My whole point was if they were physically and intellectually capable of doing the things I listed then it seems reasonable that they would be able to edit a film.
Anyways I guess all I am trying to say is that you are jumping to conclusion quicker than I think is plausible.

Your right, looking at again I don't see a film projector either.
I guess it is just a video projector. Which makes me wonder what year did video projectors come out? I mean the Dharma facilities are supposed to date back to the 70s right?
But anyways no matter what format the video is, the others are more than capable of editing it.
Now again I'm not say they did, I am just saying they could have.
