Nikki Fernandez
Nikki Fernandez was one of the middle section survivors from Flight 815 and is first introduced in "Further Instructions". She had spent most of her time on the island trying to recover the $8 million diamonds she and Paulo had stolen from Zukerman, her staged lover, before the crash. She received a Medusa spider bite that induced a deathlike paralysis and she died after being buried alive alongside Paulo.

Flash forward clues to what's *really* going on
I only just noticed a minute ago that Jack calls Kate "Kitty" in the flash forward sequence.
Jack: "I've been flyin' a lot."
Kate: "What?"
Jack: "Yeah. The golden pass that they gave us. I've been usin' it every Friday night I fly from LA to Tokyo or Singapore...Sydney. And then I get off, and I have a drink, and then I fly home."
Kate: "Why?"
Jack: "Because I want it to crash, Kitty. I don't care about anybody else on board..." Etc.
KITTY??? Yes, it's true. I found it on YouTube and watched and watched and rewatched to make sure and yes, he calls her Kitty. Jack was not the nickname guy; that was strictly Sawyer. It can't be an accident, so what's it supposed to be a clue to?
Some people have been speculating that there are parallel dimensions going on in Lost. This was not my original idea, but now that it's been posited to me I feel like I keep finding clues pointing in that direction everywhere. To elaborate:some have speculated that although the flashbacks, the island scenes, and flash forward APPEAR to be the same characters because they have the same faces and names and many of the same personality traits and problems, they're not the same people and I think "Kitty" is a big clue toward that. The Jack in the flash forward is NOT the same Jack that we've seen all along. And I don't mean that metaphorically, as in he's a changed man since the beginning, or his life totally went downhill at some point and now he's out of control, or even he's developed as a character, or he's etc. I mean he's a DIFFERENT Jack.
Maybe several parallel dimensions exist at the same time, In each there is some version of Kate, Sawyer, Jack, Rose, Bernard, Vincent, and everybody else. They may not have crash landed on the island in every parallel dimension. (<--I'm not sold on this last idea, and have the inkling that they do make it to the island in every dimension, but who knows???) Charley might be the leader of the group in some dimensions. Boone and Shannon might be alive in others. Or Hurley might be the brooding hottie and Sawyer the chubby everyman. You get the idea.
Well, I think in whichever parallel dimension we are shown in the flash forward...that version of Jack is more like Sawyer (for one thing, Jack is definitely reckless and alone). Maybe the Sawyer we haven't met from that dimension is more like Jack. Maybe the Jack/Kate/Sawyer love triangle exists in all of the parallel dimensions and she chooses differently in each, because it's substantively different Jacks and Sawyers in each. And I guess substantively different Kates too.

PotPie.. I think you have the key to the show. If everyone watches the pilot again, there is a big clue, and it has to do with the flight attendants. When Kate, Jack and Charlie are being shown, seperately, each hears a different version of how the flight attendant warns of the pilot asking everyone to "please take your seat and put your seatbelt on" Each announcement is basically the same, but worded quite differently. This is the key we have all been missing.
Lets, for arguments sake, say that there are 11 dimensions, and 11 different planes. Some turned from the storm and went one way, some went 1 degree off, just like Sayids compass. Lets again say, 5 planes of the different dimensions collide at the same spot, the entrance to the island. The Locke we see has collided and combined with the Locke we know from SOME of the flashbacks. hence, this Locke can walk, but has memories of a Locke who couldn't walk.
Does this sound about right Potpie?

Not that I don't think it could be possible that her new on-the-lam name is Kitty, but I don't think it is probable. Kate's aliases were always the names of female saints (there are lots of St. Catherine's, St. Joan's, - she called herself Maggie and there are lots of St. Margaret's, St. Anne's,St. Lucy's and a St. Monica ~ maybe harkening back to her time in Sunday School) and I don't think there is a Saint Kitty, but Kitty is a nickname for Katherine, so maybe. I tend to, though, think Cable is on to something with this one about different time lines. (Didn't something like this happen with the Starship Enterprise in Star Trek TNG where a bunch of different Enterprises all showed up in one spot because of a rift in the space/ time continuum?)

So here is some interesting stuff I found about saints:
*St. Catherine of Alexandria is the patroness of philosophers and physicians.
*St. Catherine of Sweden is the patron saint of miscarriage prevention.
* St. Margaret of Antioch is the patroness of childbirth
*St. Margaret of Cortona is the patron saint of insanity, loss of parents, & midwives.
*St. Anne (or Ann) is the partron saint of Christian mothers and women in labor
*St. Anne is the patroness of childless women
*St. Monica is the patron saint of married women, abuse victims, alcoholics, disappointing children, victims of verbal abuse
*St. Lucy of Syracuse is patron saint of the blind and eye trouble
*St. Joan (of Arc) is the patron saint of soldiers, captives, rape victims
