Berz... right, that guy was in the right place at the right time, though, he didn't realize he was bringing a child to the island who would eventually kill everyone he knows... that's one hell of a coincidence for ya!!

While nothing is certain on this show, I think it's a fair bet that time is a key player. Two things I'm sure of:

1) You cannot just fly into the island - it exists in some kind of alternate place/reality

2) Time on the island is not the same as time outside.

As stated by others, number 1 and 2 are probably linked, i.e. the alternate place/reality may well be seperated from the real world by a time anomaly.

otherwise i call it another bermuda triangle...

In the Desmond-centric episode, we know that it's Christmas Eve 2004 on the boat - Desmond set up to call Penny on that day based on that calendar and it worked.

I think you're on the right track, though. There's definitely some kind of time difference.... And, you're right, that could totally be why pregnant women die...

It'll be fun to watch and see....

hey pickle.. we know it's Christmas Eve, but besides the calendar, which is suspect, how do we knowthe year?

The world thinks that Jin died on the crash date, and that Sun is preganant with his child at time of rescue. So time of rescue must be fairly close to year end 2004.

i think they bend time and space and everything to do with anything. it is like imagination in the true sense of the word.

WOAH GUYS, Maybe wily ole J.J. is the mastermind behind the writer's strike and the time still exactly fits!

But seriously, I love the time stuff they've finally dived into this season, it's something that I've suspected, but not really been able to prove and it seems they have finally given us some answers about it. Now is I could just get flashback and flash forward titles, everything would make a whole lot more sense. Does anyone think that any flashbacks from previous to the last episode of season three might actually have been flash forwards?
