Flash Forward People!!!!

I just had to be the first one to post my theory on here about the finale. I was wondering what the hell was up with Captain Jack Sparrow and his beard. Now we see that this is the future but i don't think that this is the set future, maybe this is the possible future if they leave the island. The island drew them there for a reason and that's where they are suppose to be. Oh yeah and just a side not i really love how humble Hurley is! What do you think?

Maybe next season will have them off the island and trying to find a way back?

Jack's was a complete mess. He was on pills and drinking on top of that. He probably was just babbling and not very coherent. Hence the command of "Go get my father!"

maybe im just dwelling on it too much but if that was the case then the new doctor dude would have told him that his dad was dead.

I agree it might be a "possible" future from their actions. Maybe that would make all their mistakes go away, hence Christian being alive. Kind of like a do-over, but with a heavy price.

I still don't have a clue who died. Couldn't have been an original survivor. Especially since Kate seemed surprised that Jack would care about that person. And not just Kate, but NO ONE showed up. Any ideas? I paused it a million times and couldn't read the clip from the paper.

Side note... I wonder if the "he" Kate referred to is Sawyer?

maybe the dead person is ben. that'd explain why no one wanted to go to the funeral. not only do the survivors hate ben but ben's "other" friends are also starting to doubt/turn on him

i agree, if that was the future why would his Dad be there.

I was thinking the funeral was for Ben or Juliette, they kept saying "the funeral" never referring to a male or female

The way the "flashforward" appeared... it seems like they had been back home for a while. Kate was driving a Volvo for crying outloud! Maybe a year?

I think you might be right... maybe it was Ben that died. Jack is always the compassionate one. Could be he felt guilty though, since Ben tried to warn Jack and Jack didn't listen.
