Kelvin was Dharma I think.

Kevin is an other because apparently Ben didn't know about the sailboat he had (can't remember episode, but it's true). It could go that after feeling betrayed by the others, Kelvin decided to hide the sailboat so that the other others couldn't find it. Being one of them would also explain why he knew that it wasn't poison outside. It sounds like too good of an excuse to have just made up (also the fact that the purge was due to poison gas) he would have remembered it, hence his story.

How do we know for sure that Patchy was an Other?

well, patchy did listened to Ben whenever he asked him to do something, Sayid took his facade of a dharma guy into question and found out it was false. Patchy is definately an other

Patchy seems (s)/(ed) to be a loyal Other to Ben.

I don't agree with your premise. I think the coup led by Ben against Dharma was quite recent - within the past 2-3 years of the current time in the series. For one thing, Ben looked exactly like he does now in the scene where he killed his father. On the other hand, he was a boy of perhaps 10 when he came to island, and we have been told that Dharma set things there up in around 1980 IIRC (which matches the age of the technology they left there). I can't remember specifics, but didn't Ben also allude to being recentlyinvolved in a nasty business to Locke, right before he shot him?

So I believe Dharma continued to operate on the island until the early 2000's.

The DHARMA Initiative fought an armed conflict with a group it called the Hostiles for many years. The reasons for the conflict have not been revealed.

The conflict ended with an event known as the Purge. The Hostiles/Others launched a toxic gas attack on the Barracks and possibly other locations which killed nearly all the staff of the Initiative on the Island. Ben Linus, a workman for the Initiative, survived by joining the Others. The team at the Swan survived by being sealed in the station. The bodies of the Initiative members were piled into an uncovered mass grave in the jungle. It is unclear when exactly the gassing occurred other than it happened on December 22 at 4pm.

Mikhail Bakunin claimed that the DHARMA Initiative was destroyed in a conflict with the Others. Bakunin said that the DHARMA Initiative had initiated the conflict and that every member of the initiative on the island had been killed.

The Swan station remained under the control of the DHARMA Initiative until 2004. Supplies were dropped on a regular basis to the station but replacements for the crew stopped arriving on the Island at some point before 2001.

The last known working member of the initiative on the Island was Kelvin Inman. He arrived on the Island at some point after 1992 and was sealed in the Swan station, he was left alone by the Others and seemed to be unaware of the Purge. Inman died in 2004.

Former members of the Initiative including Ben Linus are still present on the Island. These former members allied themselves with the Hostiles and are now make up a part of the Others.

I don't have any disagreement with any of this. The question remains as to when the Purge was (which Linus led, by the way), and as I posted earlier, I believe it was only 2 or 3 years, at most, before Oceanic 815 crashed on the island.

I think the purge was older than that, since Desmond told them he's been on the island for 3 years, and Juliet tells them she's been there over 3 years, so the purge was definitely sometime before they got to the island. While Ben looked mostly the same, I got the feeling they were trying to make him look younger. My best guess for the purge is sometime within a ten-year span, between the mid-80's and mid-90's - hopefully we'll get more info in future seasons to nail it down more.
