Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

"Do Away With" is VERY interesting phrasing!
Interesting to note that Karl is back since he was pretty convinced the others would kill him once he returned to their village, should be interesting to see which side of the fence he ends up on. It is also extremely interesting that Nadia is making yet another character crossing. Assuming she is in Charlie's flashback, that puts her up there with Hurley and Randy for most crossovers. (Oh, and Libby too.)

This is the final paragraph in an interview with Lindelof and Kring(Heroes Creator) from the newest issue of Wizard(the comics magazine). This is the only thing having to due with what will happen in the show...everything else was just about writing and the friendship between the two writers.
Wizard: What can you guys tell us about how your shows will wrap up this season?
Lindelof: For us, I will say the construct of Season 3 started with our heroes victimized by this - at the time - unseen, malicious and malevolent force on the
island of these "Other" people. By the end of the season, you will know a lot more about them and what they're doing there and why they've been preying on our guys.
There is going to be an epic confrontation between the two groups - for lack of a better word, a war - and that's where we are heading to in our season finale. Hopefully, people will be more satisfied than they were in previous seasons - there are going to be a lot of answers along the way to the mysteries that people really care about.

Do you think there will be a draft?

Thanks to Sick_Passenger for the extended highlights below.(Darkufo's site)
- Jin IS the father of Sun's child..
- The sperm count of males on the island is 5 times greater.
- Sun is responsible for Jin's "mob-life" - It's a catch 22.
- The parachutist's name is Naomi Dorrit (sp?)
- The Losties are NOT in purgatory.
- Other possible explanations for Naomi's comment about 815 (1. She's lying, 2. Conspiracy theory)
- In the next episode she will delve further into what her mission is.
- Mikhail is alive (1. The fence was not turned up high enough to kill him, 2. He DID NOT come back from the dead)
Spoiler for The Brig spoilers:
The Brig.
- The Other's are on their way to "someplace".
- We will find out how Cooper got to the island.
- What happened between Locke seeing his father tied up and when he said good-bye to Kate.
- A lot of things will be answered.
- The flash on Hurley in Catch 22 was only a lens flair.
- Think pseudo-science and borderlands of the supernatural for explanations of LOST.
- They will be revisiting the psychic's predictions for Claire in the future as well as Walt's abilities.
- The Others' obsession with children & pregnancy goes beyond the inability to successfully bear children on the island.
- The Other's definitely have an interest in children with special abilities. That's why they took Walt.
- There are two factions of The Others & and are in no relation to the hatches/stations.
- They will be getting back to the statue before the show ends.

The Apple iPhone is slated to be released in June 2007, even though we're only at December 2004 on the island; with the interface of Naomi's sat phone designed to look so modern, perhaps this may indicate that time off the island is passing much more quickly than on the island
This would jive with the Damon Lindelof quote from Comic-Con, as mentioned in my post here:
"It's interesting that you should ask about time because... you're making a basic assumption that... they've been there as long as they think they've been there. I would say by the end of Season 3 you might have a very different idea—" [Carlton stopped Damon from continuing].

As you’ve seen in the previews, the episode is set up to lead us to believe that Locke has Ben and wants Sawyer to kill him, this is not true. In fact, Locke has Anthony Cooper, his father, locked up in the brig of “The Black Rock” and a mysterious file that reveals some secrets from Cooper’s past that will be of great interest to Sawyer; In particular, the fact that Cooper once went by the Alias “Sawyer” and is the man that our Sawyer has been after for years. If you remember, Sawyer killed one man already who he assumed to be the elusive “Sawyer” only to find out he had been conned into doing a hit job for a collector.
Jin, Charlie, Desmond, and Hurley return to camp with Naomi, but they decide to keep her presence a secret from Jack considering his association with the others. This will, of course, deepen the rift that is developing between Jack and the rest of the crash survivors.
As far as what happens between Sawyer and “Sawyer”, we actually don’t know! Promo pics, however reveal that Danielle shows up at “The Black Rock,” which won’t bode well for Locke since he is now amongst the people who have her daughter.
As far as big revelations go, we know that Sawyer will reveal how he came to be on the island, and Naomi will disclose more about what her mission is on the island and why she knows who Desmond is.

THE BRIG - This was originally reported as having no flashbacks at all (a first for LOST), but it's now been revealed the flashback for this episode is on-island and will show what happened between Locke and Cooper after "The Man From Tallahassee." This episode sees the culmination of several major plotlines going back to the first season. Sawyer will play a big role as well. (You should probably know what I'm talking about, at this point. But if you still haven't put it together, I don't want to ruin it for you). Supposedly, this is the episode where Naomi reveals the BIG THING that will fry our brains.
THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN - As you may have guessed from the title, this episode is shrouded in secrecy. It was originally reported to be a flashback about the DeGroots. WRONG! Friends, I am proud to present to you our very first Ben flashback. This will go back to the early days, right when DHARMA was setting up camp on the island. This will answer a ton of questions about who the Others are and when they got to the island, what Ben is even doing on the island in the first place, what happened when DHARMA showed up, and finally who Jacob really is. Also, rumor has it there is a gigantic revelation about something on the island. I'm not even going to write what it is, as it's a little farfetched, but all I'll say is that if this turns out to be true, "Dark Tower" fans will not be surprised.
GREATEST HITS - Is Charlie really gonna die? This is when we find out. Interestingly enough, here's a strange rumor about what happens in this episode (highlight to read): Charlie begins having visions of Shannon and Libby, saying they need his help. Wild!
THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS - Pretty much everything about this episode is being kept top secret. Expect a major confrontation between the 815ers and the Others. From what I hear, things such as Charlie's hanging and Scott's murder are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Others' brutal tactics. This will supposedly be a very violent episode, and (highlight to read) there will be a major death which will floor all of us. The only things we know for sure are that it's a Jack flashback, and the casting sheet lists a mortician, a stewardess, a hosptial chief-of-staff and a pharmacist. Huh? The writers promise that this episode will blow us out of the water (uh-huh) and that this is the coolest idea for a flashback ever.
Now would be a good time to present my theory about the big twist, and what to expect in "Through The Looking Glass." However, I'd like to say that if I'm correct about any of this, I'm technically spoiling it for you, so if you don't even wanna think about what this stuff might be, please stop reading now. I don't know any of this for sure, but I would like to at least put it out there and see what people think.
Okay, still reading? Cool. Let's start with the season finale. They're doing a Jack episode, the third time this season. Now, the writers normally try to do something special for the season finales, and though I like Jack's flashbacks just fine and everything, I'm not sure what could possibly be so wild about this one. But then I did some thinking . . . look at the list of characters supposedly appearing in his flashback: a mortician, a stewardess, doctors, etc. Aren't these all people Jack would have encountered before, in flashbacks we've already seen? You know, Jack having to fly to Australia, getting his father's body ready for the funeral, taking off work, all of that. Why would the flashback consist mostly of things we've seen before?
EXACTLY! This is the key to Jack's flashback. Here goes: Jack's "flashback" will depict what happens to Jack Shephard if the plane never crashed. We see Jack go through the whole song and dance of flying to Sydney, retrieving his father's body, and getting on flight 815. We see him on the plane, and we all know what's coming. We're just waiting for it to crash. And instead, flight 815 arrives successfully at LAX. We will see an alternate version of events, depicting what happens to Jack if he never winds up on the island. Think about it: He'll attend his father's funeral, continue pining for Sarah, his life won't change and he will feel that something is really, REALLY wrong. What's wrong? He needs to be on the island. The on-island scenes will highlight why Jack is supposed to be there, because all of these characters are on this island for a reason, and denying destiny carries a high price. The title "Through the Looking Glass" makes perfect sense in this regard (I guess it's a lot like that movie "Sliding Doors," but hopefully cooler).
"Hey now," you're thinking, "that's a neat idea, but why would there be an alternate version of events? Why even bother showing that?" Well, let me tell you: In "Flashes Before Your Eyes," we don't know what happened after Desmond was hit with the cricket bat. Right before this happened, he seemed convinced that he could change things. What if Desmond got back together with Penny, never went to the island, never pushed the button, never crashed the plane, and never turned that damn key? What if he then realized he'd made a terrible, terrible mistake? What if Penny isn't the one looking for the island, but Desmond? When we revisit that moment when Penny gets the phone call, perhaps Des is right there in bed next to her. Here's a major clue as to why I'm thinking this (giganto spoiler, please be warned. Highlight to read): In "Flashes Before Your Eyes," Desmond took the only copy of the picture (of he and Penny at the marina scene) with him to the island. But at the end of season two, Penny has that very picture framed on her nightstand. Spoilers have largely hinted that the object being carried by Naomi is in fact this picture. My prediction: the islanders will learn they have been brought into a splintered timeline where the plane never crashed. This fits perfectly with the recent spoiler that, after the big reveal, the characters won't be wondering where they are, but who they are.
And this is just the beginning of the island being a nexus point for various timelines.
Well, that's my theory. Numerous LOST fans are starting to spit up variations of it but, honestly, I like mine the best. I think I'm allowed the occasional moment of arrogance, don't you? Posted by Paula Abdul Alhazred
So Jack's third Flashback episode should prove to be pretty darn exciting!

When Sun enters Mr. Paik's office, she overhears him arguing with an employee. This is the only Korean conversation not translated in the entire episode. A possible translation suggests that Paik is agitated at the fact that his associated[sic] (should read associates, I believe) have yet to provide shipping documents/equipment to the Hanso Foundation (or vice versa). Paik seems to warn that the Foundation will become angry if the equipment isn't given soon (or possibly he will become angry) - Lostpedia
This is talking about the D.O.C. scene where Sun goes into ask her father for $100,000 to bribe Jin's mother.
Also >>>>
Did anyone else find it interesting that Sun had a dossier on Jin's Father, from whom would she get that? Very similar to the dossiers the Others have on the Losties.

Timeline theories contradict what has occurred. In order for Naomi to search for Des he must be missing right? So how can Des be lying next to Penny? I don't want to misinterpret what you are saying but it sounds like you are trying to explain the possibility that someone can live one life during two separate time lines and then the same life in the different time line accidentally/destiny interferes with one another causing a change of events. Sorry to be the burden of bad news or to rain on your parade but that ending you just came up with is lame and not interesting at all. I don’t think it matters what would happen to any of the Losties if they never crashed. That’s pointless. The show is about the island itself not its location nor it's time line nor it’s characters life with out ever crashing on the island.
