Security System

I'm starting to think that the "Security System" as Rosseau called it, is helping protect the original survivors from the Others. The unlucky tail enders were on the side of the island without a Security System.
What do ya'll think?

Interesting, kind of a TwilightZone way of thinking about it...could be plausible. Maybe that's why Locke said he'd be fine when Jack wouldn't let go of him.

Interesting fact, however...I have been toying around with teh idea (now that i read about the constelations here) that the security system may be protecting the 7th station -- Apollo -- the master station.

I don't think it's protecting the people, remember the time that it totally raped the captain. Don't get me wrong, I think eating someone and spitting them up isn't quite protecting them. Some of our members are foreign and may lack the the concept of what protection is so I'll give you a little hint. Imagine what America does with other countries, only not so much oil stealing, innocent killing, and uh pretty much everything america tries to do. Bad example. But funny.

That's funny...really funny!

What I mean is that the security system is protecting station #7, Apollo...obviously, the people that know Apollo exists are the ones that need protecting, if they are people at all...I mean, Apollo could have been abandoned and the security system is just still going...but, then, again, I don't even know what I'm talk about. I don't really even know if there are 7 stations or even if apollo exists...it's just a theory!

To clarify my point... I think the security system is protecting the original survivors in the sense that the thing kills all who get in it's path friend or foe, thus keeping the others from attacking.
Either way, I'm stoked for tonight's episode.

I'd be a lampshade if not for my own protection, because I am American Military dude. And trust me, what I said, is pretty much very true.

So you're saying you're and Icelander, who is in the United States Armed Forces, who targets and kills innocent people and steals oil? Are you getting some sort of deal or kick backs on your gas?
I'm not sure what your Sputnik stats are, but if it's from some sort of Military game that you've done well in, I have news for you... High stats in a video game do not make you a real member of the American Military.

He's a real member of the Armed Forces claypidge. He's from the United States, in the armed services and stationed in Iceland. I dont know what those stats are in his sig either, but its not him pretending to be in the armed forces.

No ^_^, the stats in my signature are from this game Adventure Quest that I play on occasion, it's very dorky, very involved sort of thing. And as Czaj said, I am an American based in Iceland with the USAF, and when you see everything happening then the truth really comes to surface.
