Sun-Hwa Kwon
Sun-Hwa Kwon (née Paik ?) (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Baek Seon-hwa, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Paek So(n'hwa) is one of the middle section survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. She was traveling on the plane with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon. Their marriage has been very unstable, on and off the island, mainly due to Jin's controlling and violent nature and also because of Sun's many secrets that she will go to great lengths to protect even if it involves hurting others e.g. the maid in "The Glass Ballerina". She is currently pregnant with Jin's child, and according to Juliet the pregnancy will kill her in two months like every other pregnant woman who conceived on the island.

"Jacob I loved. Esau I hated." Saith the Lord!!
I know Lost is not really a Bible centered show, but it did recently flash the info about God and Jacob, and a List. This theory below is the "Christian" version Election and Predestination.
B.F. Skinner has a "Secular" theory of these ideas and Dr. Skinner has been mentioned on Lost before.
WARNING: This may upset you. Please do not read if you are prone to fly off the handle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, it was Isaac that was taken up to the mountian to be sacrificed by his father Abraham. Isaac was the father of Jacob and Esau.
This is where it got weird. They were twins, but Esau was born first and historically would be considered the "first born" and inherit all the blessings and property of his father BUT...before they were born, God said, "Jacob I love and Esau I hate. The older will serve the younger."
This was said to show that it is God who "Elects" some for good and some for "no good." This is explained in the New Testament, Romans chapters 9 and 11.
Christians have been devided on this for centuries. But the text clearly show that God is like a "Potter" who can make from the same clay one vessel for honor and another for dishonor.
I think it is really cool. That is why I have been a Calvinist for over twenty years.
Many people say, "But that makes God unfair!" But to those he says in the same chapters, (Romans 9 & 11) "Who are you, to question God?"

Lost doesn't seem to do very much just for the sake of doing it. I might be paranoid but I always try and read something in to whatever they are showing us.
