James Ford
James Ford, better known by the alias of "Sawyer", is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Sawyer's early life was ravaged by the con man who ultimately claimed both his parent's lives through conning them, instantly orphaning him. As a child, he wrote a letter to this con man, hoping to deliver it to him in person one day. Sawyer set out to search for him, presumably after he left school, however he, himself, ultimately became a con man and became the man he was hunting, became Sawyer. Revenge plays a big part in Sawyer's life, starting with the real Sawyer. On the island, Sawyer has often used his abilities to con people to get his wishes, and keeps a stash of useful items with him. However, after the death of the real Sawyer, he has begun to rethink his ways and is slowly turning into a leader for the survivors.
He escaped from the captivity of the Others with Kate, and has formed a relationship with her.

Penny's dad would have made sure that Desmond got LOST one way or another. After the conversation in his office (the $80,000 whiskey scene) when Des wanted to marry Penny, and the scene when Pen's dad shows up IMMEDIATELY after Des is released from prison, just waiting in the car and gives him all of the letters he had sent Penelope(so penny never knew des was writing her, she must have felt abandoned). Or even that fact that he mentions the race around the world (which is long and dangerous) to him and then Des "happens" to run into a crazy lady who wants to just give him a boat to compete in this race... suspicious to me!

I agree with ya here Queenbee... I don't know about all of you but don't run into super nice people who want to buy my coffee or just give me a boat so that I can race around the world... Really if anyone here wants to give me a sailboat, just send me a pm... LOL Sorry I just think that the LIBBY story has a lot more to do with it than what we have already seen... Libby said that she was recently widowed.. Her husbands name was David, this is David's boat that she gives Des..
Why was she in the mental Hospital?
Was it before or after David's Death?

Exactly Wed! I've also wondered if Libby's husband's death was a result of one of our other losties. Whose killed someone? Kate shot the bank guard, maybe Jack or Jack's dad lost someone on the operating table, we still don't know was Sawyer's "Tampa job" was but apparently nothing could make up for it, Hurley collapsed a deck that killed 23 people, and so on...
