Boone Carlyle

Boone Carlyle was a middle section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 and was Shannon's stepbrother. He attempted to assume a semi-leadership role with the survivors but failed due to being rash and young, though he became Locke's apprentice when the two formed a close bond. Boone survived on the Island for 41 days before he died of injuries sustained in a fall whilst he tried to contact 'rescuers' from the drug smugglers' plane. According to Locke, Boone was a sacrifice the Island demanded.

Wink Why Desmond Saves Charlie
I have a theory on why Desmond & his flashes are so far really just to save Charlie's life..

Desmond sees that Charlie and Claire can have what he and Penny could not because of his decision in London.. I think that part of the reason that he wants to save Charlie is so that he and Claire can be together... He messed up when he didn't just marry Penny and came to the island.. This is hard for him to deal with so if he can use his new gift to help them have what he couldn't then so be it..

Wednighter is brilliant isn't she folks... and that one is for you Tessa, loving the noblest guy on Lost.
Do you think he is saving charlie so he can in turn protect Claire and Aaron?

K.I.S.S. - keep it simple stupid (not calling anyone stupid, but myself!) Sometimes with Lost I try and make it sooo involved, and sooo complicated with conspiracies everywhere and mysterious motives out there that I forget sometimes a cigar is just a cigar., or a nice man is just a nice man taking care of a little island family unit.

Here's something I found on lj, and thought it was very interesting. I think it's very possible:

The connection getting overlooked is that CLAIRE is the one who leads Charlie into mortal peril. EVERYTIME.

It was Claire’s hut that was nearly struck by lightning.
Charlie went into the water to save a drowning Claire.
Charlie fell into the ocean trying to get a bird for Claire.

However, when Charlie goes zooming down a hill towards some rocks in a beat up old DHARMA bus, no Desmond. No worries.

Perhaps it isn’t that Charlie is fated to die, rather it is Claire who leads him to his death.

I am the same way...some ideas and theories are so complex, yet some are just a piece of cake, and I have a problem with complicating things... I need to keep it simple as well.

About the LJ quote.... That's what I was thinking. They do all have that very important similarity. I wonder if it is Claire that will be the death of him? (I hope not!! I <3 Charlie!)
