What's everyone's thoughts on who the Ring Lady is? Is she the Island Itself? Is she a mean version of the Oracle(maybe the Architect)? Is she Desmond's sense of right and wrong?

Hmmm? It said in one of the TV guides a few months ago,when I was still starving for some Lost that they thought she was Des's Mum. Didn't seem like any Motherly bond was there.

I thought it was interesting when she was talking about "course correcting" and the man in the red shoes - she knew that if he hadn't died under the scaffold then he would have been hit by a taxi and if he wasn't hit by a taxi then he would break his neck in the shower. She already knew these things because they had already happened before ? someone HAD saved the man from the scaffolding, then HAD saved him from the scaffolding AND the taxi etc....
