my jury is still out on this. Until i see the smoke monster actually shape shift from smoke form to "human" or "horse" or "polar bear" form... i dont buy it. I think the yemi appearaces were all in eckos head. and that was his subconcious or something coming out and helping him find himself...

OK Ben, good point. A shapeshifter is probably not scinetifically possible, but perhaps smoky is controlled or IS a supercomputer who can access the brain (studies first, brainwashes next) and then can implant the images to it's subject. Like Dave, only Hurley could see him. Only Eko could see Yemi, but that doesn't specifically mean it's all in his head, it just manifests itself there for the purposes of now interacting with the subject. Eko didn't 'play along' with what smoky had had in mind, so it sent it's iron filament self to (form of, an elephant) crush it's subject who would not obey!! make sense... a little ?

This whole time travel thing and the electromagnetic station are making me think that there was some sort of major break through in Dharma's experiments and pushing that button was stabilizing it some how.... I don't know where i'm going with this but look at all the clues. "The Black Rock, the ancient foot, the skelotons from a hundred years ago." There is something behind this show that has somehting to do with time travel.
