James Ford

James Ford, better known by the alias of "Sawyer", is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Sawyer's early life was ravaged by the con man who ultimately claimed both his parent's lives through conning them, instantly orphaning him. As a child, he wrote a letter to this con man, hoping to deliver it to him in person one day. Sawyer set out to search for him, presumably after he left school, however he, himself, ultimately became a con man and became the man he was hunting, became Sawyer. Revenge plays a big part in Sawyer's life, starting with the real Sawyer. On the island, Sawyer has often used his abilities to con people to get his wishes, and keeps a stash of useful items with him. However, after the death of the real Sawyer, he has begun to rethink his ways and is slowly turning into a leader for the survivors.

He escaped from the captivity of the Others with Kate, and has formed a relationship with her.

Default Did it all happen in a 'flash'?
Check out the clock on Big Ben (Big 'Ben'...teehee)

One is when Penny arrives...'am I late?'

The other is after they walk around, talk a bit, chat with the picture guy, choose from a few backgrounds, pose, wait for the photo development, then argue about marriage for a while, then finally, Desmond chucks the ring into the Thames.

The Tower clock is unchanged. Same thing for the clock in the ring shop.

So unless the clocks are all busted...no actual 'time' elapsed, at least, not much. Which leads me to believe that Desmonds trippy 'time travel' happened in an instant, in his MIND. Probably the same length of time that elapsed for the Arctic guys to detect just a glimpse of the island on their computer?

the time: 1:08. you may be onto soemthing there. He came back to the island naked only minutes after the explosion.

That whole scene took like one minute though. He went back in time, and Desmond talked to Jack. And Libby, and Charlie.
His "Spritual" De ja Vu will be a big part of the show, imho

I did not see that! I think the bump on the head made him rush back in time,then the hit with the cricket bat sent him forward,but still can't explain the old lady. I think the remembering things was just his experiances before the island party mixed with things from the Hatch and the people he now knows.

yup. all in his head... no time travel...


but the cool thing about this... is that Big Ben is awesome... like me. I am big. By the way i am going to london in 3 weeks... so big ben will be with big ben... and there wont be a henry gale in site!
