A question that I need(le) to ask...

The meds.

Last week we saw that Juliet had concocted some injectable medication that seemingly adresses fertility issues. Well, it certainly did for her sister. Big needle, right in the gut and presto, cat's in the cradle.

This is apparently quite interesting to Ethan and Co. Fast forward to the island where last season we see Claire injected by Ethan in the belly, just like Juliet did to Rachel.

The question is, if we are to assume Juliet's formula was imported to the island and it is the same drug therapy used on Claire...and we know the Dharma vials are all the same on the island...why did Desmond get told to inject himself with the same stuff?????

A big question indeed. maybe the universal syrum controlled by the others is a metaphor for something else, like life, but that seems kind of hokey.

Lets compare, Rachel could not concieve that is why she was getting the injections we assume..
Claire already pregnant and healthy 8 months pregnant..

My question is why would they have to inject Claire with something when she is already pregant?

It was an injection I remember so its not like they were trying to get amneatoc(sp sorry) fluid for testing...

as far as injecting juliets sister... does anyone know anything about this. I mean lets juts put a needle in your belly wiht an egg and sperm and hopefully those two love birds can find thier way into your V space...

Uh NO.... we got intestine down there..and tons of other organs... and Babys need an umbilical cord... does one just form magicallly and attach itseld to any random cell wall and start pulling nutrients?? NO! and for juliet, Waht does juliet have xray vision? is she crossing her fingers that IF the baby comes to term... it is NOT in her sisters bladder or lower intestine?

Can I get some for the hang over I'm gonna have this weekend =)

We do know that the stuff Ethan put in Claire is the same stuff Desmond used, and was given to Aaron. Agreed, we dont know that that stuff is Juliets concoction...but it seems probable considering we know Ethan was recruiting Juliet for her brilliant science.

I don't think that there is any reason to conclude that it is all the same stuff. I think the injections for Desmond were more of a mind game to keep him from going outside...probably some nice vitamins or saline. Besides Juliet was injecting her stuff in the belly lower abdomen area for whatever weird reason.
