Dr. Juliet Burke

Dr. Juliet Burke (née Carlson) is a member of the Others. She seems unhappy with her allegiance (particularly, it seems, with Ben's position of authority), and lives at the Barracks. Juliet is a calm, intelligent woman with a background in medicine, but unhappy with her private life and will do anything to get off the Island. However, it seems Juliet has betrayed her people and joined the survivors in wanting off the island.

Default The Show will never reveal why?

We'll have to wait for the movie. Even if we're right (all of these theories and guesses) we'll probably never know. I bet this show is going to end without telling us anything. Then, perhaps years later, the LOST movie will come out to tell us how it all ends.

They'll make a fortune! And, after all, that's all that counts to them. They don't care that we're entertained. That's a by-product of thier one and only goal. Increase ratings in order to get more dollar per second. The writers care. They care about Emmy's. The network cares. They care about bonuses and job security.

Do they care about us? lol. Come on.

Wait for the movie to come out, probably a christmas release as well so not only will they mess with your lives for a constant 4 or 5 years, but will take your christmas away from you.

Taking Christmas away from people. Now, that sounds like Network Executives!

Well remember what zeh Producers said about if they are cancelled. They will have Joop sit down and explain all the secrets of the island, and the rest of the show.

A movie would be dissapointing to end it all, I hope they keep it all on T.V.

If this is a serious suggestion , I guess I would have to agree . It just seems like it keeps spinning out there with no real direction . If the ratings continue to drop it will prob get cancelled , if we are lucky one more season . I would like a movie to bring it all home sooner than later .....

I think the shows producers care very much about what viewer think about the storyline. Viewers=Ratings=Advertising Dollars.
I personally enjoy the slow unwinding of the story. I find it intrigueing. If we get all the answers to all of our questions next week, then the show is over.....and I can't stand the thought of that. As long as they keep it intelligent and keep revealing bits and pieces along the way...I am in for the long haul.
From statements I have read from the producers....they say we will know who the others are and why they are there by the end of this season.
Last season they said we would know why the plane crashed at the end of the season and we did.

I agree with frogmeister %100. Why have a story with no mystery? A show that sovles and then starts new story lines all the time is a soap opera. I would like to think, and do think, Lost is much different and much better then anything like that.

I agree with you RUmooningme, that is what brings me back to this show every time. I'm in for the long haul, wherever they go and whatever happens. Just like with Battlestar Galactica, my 2nd favorite show on t.v. these days...

I believe the show will have a very satisfying conclusion, but not that every single mystery will be revealed.

Frank: No, the worst.

Default ...

It's not like they haven't revealed anything; it's just with each revelation there's more questions. I'm more optimistic, especially when the producers said this would be a season of answers. Each episode is so entertaining that I don't get all frustrated by not getting my questions answered, and I wouldn't just judge the show on the merits of the plot. Having said that, it's only been the fourth episode of the third season, how much do you want revealed?

I watched an interview recently about the storyline and how when they started filming the show, they knew how it was going to begin and conclude. AND they said that the ending will be happy but not "too" happy. My guess is they finally get off the island but some of our heroes take a fall.
