James Ford
James Ford, better known by the alias of "Sawyer", is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Sawyer's early life was ravaged by the con man who ultimately claimed both his parent's lives through conning them, instantly orphaning him. As a child, he wrote a letter to this con man, hoping to deliver it to him in person one day. Sawyer set out to search for him, presumably after he left school, however he, himself, ultimately became a con man and became the man he was hunting, became Sawyer. Revenge plays a big part in Sawyer's life, starting with the real Sawyer. On the island, Sawyer has often used his abilities to con people to get his wishes, and keeps a stash of useful items with him. However, after the death of the real Sawyer, he has begun to rethink his ways and is slowly turning into a leader for the survivors.
He escaped from the captivity of the Others with Kate, and has formed a relationship with her.

You're right...but remember that Ben was caught right at the same time that the airlift food pallet was dropped...what if THAT was what 'Henry' was going to find...what if a video of the baseball game and other news was hidden in the drop? Ben says: "your plane crashed Sept. 22, 2004 (very specific), and in the 69 days since..." and quotes very NEWSY events..
Maybe a news update for the Hatchlings is part of the drop? Or maybe it's the 'prize' in box of Dharma flakes? BWAHAHAHA!

You could be right...but I still believe BeFeNry is a clever LIAR. And the Hatch-slaves werent allowed to see or talk to the 'outside world' lest there be another 'incident'...

Oh thats just the best part of all the craziness. If it flew through a rip in the time space continuom then so could the flight and we could be at some other point in time.

OOOH iron filimanets that have been given super powers.
OR... way better. That very scientist was doign experiments and there is a fluctation in the islands magnetic field and he is fused with the iron filaments. He becomes a person who can diffuse into iron filaments and float in the air.
i see it like how the sandman forms in spiderman 3 ( and the comic books)
and even if it was this scientist person, its even more far fetched that he also gains telepathic powers too...
I however dont believe that smokey can shape shift. But this would be the most feasible way yet.
