When did the Losties stop being normal?

How could the producers let the show end with the typical beach ending?
People are dead or trapped at the Hatch. No one wants to find them? Don't Charlie, Claire, and the Red Shirts bury people? Or look for people who might be alive?

I, for one am upset by this lack common human instinct. Charlie knew that at least three people were in the hatch. He told Claire. Why no search party, or rescue?
The producers have some explaining to do.

Charlie also said something to Bernard as he came back into camp. When Bernard asked about the other two he said something along the lines of, "They're not back yet?"
I'm glad someone else noticed. I could uderstand if Charlie didn't care if Locke was killed. But what is up with the rest of them. The leaders are gone, so the hell with anyone who might be hurt outside of camp? No one is willing to go to the hatch and find out what happened? Golly! Sure hope there not dead. Well.... let's clean up the beach. Very odd.

yea that is stupid.. it annoyed me how it was a happy scene to end with like it jus brushed over all the hellish events that just happened.. and lets face it they wernt minor events! they were massive! but i guess they jus wanted to end on a slightly happy note with claire and charlie an the lil kiss.. i mean that kiss has only taken them what? like 50 episodes.. anyway..!

Maybe there is a rescue mission... they just didn't air it.
I doubt it, but it could happen.
