"Live together, die alone" Season Finale theories

Hello,

Im new to this board, but a long time lurker on this board and "losttv-forum".

On the subject of the season finale i have the following theories/ideas:

1. I believe Micheal will return next season because of guilt, after he secures Walt at the losties camp making sure he is safe. Or he will run into Sayid's crew because of their sail boat. either way i dont think Micheal is outta the picture yet.

2. Desmond I beilieve was not "sent" to the island. Just got screwed over by his compass due to magnetic interference when he neared the island.

His girlfriends father may have know the coordinates to the island?

Also could have been a set up?

Maybe her father knew of the Darhma project?

His girlfriend could just be rich and in love?

Maybe her father knows nothing of the island but just wanted to send desmond off to get lost in the ocean.

Maybe not.

3. Jack, Sawyer and Kate might not be castaways the others "want". But maybe they want to destroy them as they are "troublemakers" in comparison to the other castways.

4. The four toed statue might link the island to atlantis? Maybe not, don't know.

5. Henry told Micheal that him and Walt should set a heading 322 and they would be rescued. Also that if they tried to return that they would never find the island. Why couldnt they return?

Possibly because of "electro magnetic field" prevents anyone finding the island due to interference with compasses etc.

This would explain why the losties plane crash was never found by potential rescuers?

6. Eckos staff had refference to bible verse Revelations 9:22, There is no verse 22... it ends at 21. Meaning ?

5. Upon observing people taking note to Charlie acting wierd after the explosion. I believe he was shellshocked, and might have a concussion
With all that wierd magnetic activity and the TNT in the hatch. One would almost have to endured a concussion due to the shockwaves fom the blast. Concussion to the head does strange things to people, it did to me when i had one.

You have your theories going against eachother, The EMP Drew Desmond toward the island, But it would make Michael Not return do to compass interaction?

And If you remember, they put it 2 different ways, At First they said Michael could not return because he would not find the island, But second they said if he told people where they were, He wouldnt be able to stand the guilt of what he did to get his son back.

My theory is Michael will come back without walt (Walt being safe somewhere) Because they cant use Walt much anymore, hes growing, The actual story has covered 40 days so far, But has really been 2 years, Meaning Walt is growing faster then he should. So either Walt is out, Or both him and Michael are out. One of the two. Either way Walt is gone for good, because they cant use him anymore.

Sure , but theres a posibility that if micheal went on the heading they said he might not get interference, maybe 322 is the "eye" of the electro magnetic "storm". Possibillity, im not arguing with you, just trying to make sense of things. Thanks for the insights.

Yes the latter in regards to the guilt, could be possible... but again i would think that his guilt would be a prelude to him "realizing his bad ways" ( the bad redeeming themselves is a timeless twist used by writers) and returning to the island to redeem himself . I lean towards him helping the losties... he wanted his son and he got him. Now he is somewhat free to rebel against the "others" scince he was also misled on the fate of the losties he brought to them. ie;

Micheal: " I thought you werent going to hurt them?" (at the boat dock)

Yes i know he was answered with FHENRY" Were taking them to our home"

But that does not specifically say "what" would happen to them when they arrived "home".

I agree with you though... "Micheal will return without Walt"

Michael is not signed a regualr next season and the producers have comfirmed theywill deal with the "growth" of Walt next season also.

This is a good thread. I like your instinct. Nothing too crazy like some I've read.

Really... where did you get that info ? Thats ashame, that means micheal is a total jerk, IMHO. And i liked him. Then again i liked Libby too, thought Hurley was gonna get lucky.

Another thought just hit me.

You know how the map shows the other stations in kinda a circular pattern.

Could there be a particle accelerator "super collider" below the islands surface?

Could possibly explain some off the magnetic intererence.

(WARNING:diving off the deep end here)

They could have been experimenting with creating an artificial black hole and thats when they had the "incident" from the training video. It might have become unstable and releasing mass amounts of Hawkings radiation. Which could explain the so called sickness people died from. Later they closed up shop and now push the button every 108 minutes. No more sickness. And they just release the built up energy via the button.

Just to clarify, most of this is theoretical in the "real world", but this is a tv show.

And i just like bouncing ideas around with other people to collaborate together. And its just damn exciting trying to piece this whole thing all together.

My only fear is that the writers produce some really simple explantion that lets alot of viewers down.
