My theory....tell me what you think

My first post guys...and I'm probably over thinking this whole thing but....

In the last scene of the finale the computer stated a message reading electromagnetic anomaly found. okay, so I thought, what the heck is that right? I wikipedia'd it and ended up cruising through pages of physics theories from einstein to stephen hawking. Here's what I pieced together. The brilliant flash when Locke refused to push the button, Claire mentioned that it was a 'violet' flash or something like that. There's this theory called the ultraviolet catastrophe. It has to do with the energy associated with radiation. The higher the radiation output the different colors are visually detected, and ultraviolet is when energy goes to infinite....so it's a theory that has been proven wrong, but the idea is that a black hole would be able to cause enough radiant energy to get pretty darned close. Look up event horizon on wikipedia too! Blah blah...long story short, these guys got sucked into a black hole whose entrance is being controlled by the button, every 108 minutes the electromagnetic build up gets too much that the hole opens again and the button has to be pushed in order to release the 'tension.' The outside world can't see the hole cause it closed up after the plane got sucked in back way when desmond forgot to push the button. I'm not sure what would happen if the hole isn't controlled...the universe would get sucked into antimatter maybe? oh, and this black hole could suck up anything from the universe...so perhaps smoke monster is some alien....and the statue with the four toes...a long lost civilization of four toed people got sucked in too?? hehe...just and idea.

It did seem like a radiation flash to me , well , at least what the film industry has put out there from some old movies as to what a nuclear or radiation flash would be like .

If that was the theory and it was true, it would turn into more of a Sci Fi show and Not a Reality show.

the show is already quite the sci-fi imo. Did you mean "alternate reality" show? The two are very similar. Kinda like the Twilight Zone

well if it was radiation id say eko became mutated and mega strong and out of frustration threw that hatch door into the air!

I'd say you're theory has some solid points. I wish we didn't have to wait all summer to find out more.

But if it were a "Blackhole" as you stated. In theory the two guys at the monitoring station would not have picked up an electromagnetic anomaly. Due to the fact that the blackhole would absorb all matter that tried to overpower its escape velocity.

Could be possible it opened a wormhole (like the tv show sliders)?
That would make them and the island virtuall invisble to the "real" world as they would be in a different space-time .

The bremuda triangle and Atlantis come to mind, especially with the four toed foot.
