Shannon Rutherford
Shannon Rutherford was a middle section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 and was Boone's stepsister, who she frequently argued with. She was very selfish at times, though she eventually formed a romantic relationship with Sayid. Shannon survived on the Island for 48 days before she was unintentionally shot and killed by Ana-Lucia Cortez.

Libby's connection?
Hey guys I'm new here and you all seem pretty cool.
I know most of you probably realized this but oh well.
Does any one else remember the episode with Libby is shown at the end as a mental patient? After seeing that her with Hurley I came up with an idea that Libby was connected with the Hanso foundation or some other company. I also believed that she was faking the relationship with Hurley. She adds on to my theory when she gives Desmond a sailboat for no reason. The only thing is I don't know is that if she really was on the plane or what her purpose is.
Its just something I came up with before the season finale

well, she was definitely at the airport just before the plane took off, since she ran into Eko and the girl who "died", so unless she secretly caught some faster plane to get to the island, I'd say she was on flight 815

I think she was on the flight but I also think the flight was brought down and the memory of the tail breaking off and the other crash details were false memories, to wit, Charlie's memory or lack thereof of the blast in the hatch and Locke/Desmond's actions. I do think also, after last night, that she's part of the "plot" and not a legitimate Lostie. As to her true feelings for Hurley, I don't know.

Whatever her purpose is.. she's far from finished, even if she is dead! They have a lot to reveal about her -- as is evident from the questions here!

I doubt that the intertwining of lives and crossing of paths could in any sense be considered to have "just happened." There had to be a plan behind all of this that assured that all these people would be brought together at some point.
