Why were Jack , Kate , Sawyer taken ? - Page 2

Maybe they are hoping Hurley will go back and Sayid will form a posse to try and retrieve kate, jack and sawyer. So that the other losties might fall ito a trap (a test if ou will) as part of thier darhma project. They seem to like to play drama with the disguises and all.

I thought for a moment they were going to let all of them go...like it was a test for Michael and he lost...and then his boat would sink or something.

Oh well.

The thing I wonder about is at one point as Jack Sawyer and Locke were chasing Michael through the woods they had Katie and Michael. Why not take them then. Drug them with the darts. (maybe they didn't have any with them) Take Jack and sawyer (maybe Locke) Now you have all the top people in camp. The other thing is if they want Sawyer so bad, why do they keep shooting him?

IMHO- they took the 3 people who were most likely to take leadership away from Locke. I think HH really wants Locke to be the ringleader of the Losties, without any competition. HH was among them long enough to realize Jack, Kate and Sawyer are all capable of swaying the gang away from Locke's objectives. Hurley is no threat. He's a teddybear who may or may not make it back before collapsing cuz he isn't a navigator. The guy got lost taking Libby to a nearby beach! Thus the easiest target for a messanger because he is so NOT capable of leading an assult- not the people.

HH wants Locke to lead the losties and took all other capable leadership away. The only exception might be Sayid, but gertting everyone to follow him may be a stretch.

I'm new here. I was reading over your theories and I think they were taken because they are the most flawed. There have been hints (some not subtle) that all 3 have done bad things in the past.

I think Locke will have plenty of competition with Eko and his sidekick Charlie. Eko kicked Locke's butt (a first for this show) and proved to be powerful. They should've taken Eko as well.

i think as someone else said at the start... that they are taken because they are the most healthy specimines to mate. They already have a love triangle i think the others have chosen wisely if that is what they want to do.

I dont think it is because they are the most flawed... everyone on that island is flawed! Someone said the link that everyone on the island has is that they have all killed someone (at least one each).. i think that is right?.. hmm

I don't kno where Kate, Jack and Sawyer are going, but in one fail swoop, they have taken the real leaders from the group. Locke will never trust his decisions anymore. Eko will trust his, but they are all dreams and is doubtful anyone else will listen to him. Sayid, well, I don't think he is going to be a leader. I believe the rest will be scared and follow anything that is fed to them.
