Jin-Soo Kwon

Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

I think the reason the 'others' want the children is because, being children they are at an age of innocence and are therefore exempt from being tested which I believe is why they are all there...

If someone else had this idea already and posted it then I'm sorry.

If not... What do you think?

Well, Walt has special powers, So that could be a possible reason for Walt's abduction, For more testing! I would have liked to see those "fishermen" offer Walt some candy to get on their boat, like sexual predators in black vans. I would have laughed.

Maybe the Others want children because they taste like chicken...
Or, maybe they are is still experimenting and children are easier to deal with than adults when they've been kidnapped. I seen this movie a long time ago called "The Island". Michael Caine and his son were attacked by pirates and the son kidnapped and brainwashed. I think the pirates lived on an Island and had a type of commune. They wanted to use the son to bring different genes into their group, to much inbreeding. The movie came from a book by Peter Benchley, who also wrote Jaws before Spielberg came along.

We all know that children are influenced , much easily than adults. Indeed we could suspect that they would be going for the children because Alex was taken, Walt was taken, and Aaron was nearly taken but not really by the others (unless Rousseau is still with them).

If this contradicts with the episodes I haven't seen, please tell me!

I think the kids are easier to brainwash, but they (Others) obviously take whomever they want. Seeing how Claire didnt know what the hell was going on when they found her, they definetly can erase memories. Which will be interesting to see how that affects Walt.
