Dr. Jack Shephard
Dr. Jack Shephard is often seen as the main character of the series. He is a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack has control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he cannot fix. However, this attitude of solving problems through reason has given him the ability to function well in crisis. Sometimes, if he feels guilt or pain over a situation he can't fix himself, he will do anything he can to fix it, even borderlining on obsessive. Jack is, most of the time, in control of his life, emotions and situation he is in and is able to keep a cool head in tense situations. Jack is also the half brother of Claire Littleton, although neither of them is aware of this. Jack has formed very strong bonds with Kate and Juliet while he has been on the Island.

Bi tch.
****e, not you Christa.
Wanted to say a forbidden word m'dear.
I'm tempted to say Britains most forbidden word now but LOST might tell me off...
Nah I'll swerve it actually.
It began with a 'C' by the way and is a 'lady bit'

That was a very disappointing episode.

Agreed. That wasn't worth calling the episode "extended."

Don't know if I'd say it was the best written ep but it certainly dropped a couple of details that would seem very important to the overall mystery.
First the list which seems to say the Others had advance notice on who was to be on the plane (or they determined who was to be on the plane in advance).
Then there's the comment about the suspected Other that was thrown in the pit when the real Other said he killed him rather than "took" him because he wasn't "good." That seems to say the Others (or the people/forces that control them) knew something about each passenger long before the plane "crash." Whether "good" meant moral, ethical, etc. or meant suitable for some mysterious purpose wasn't clear.
That all came from one scene then at other times less obvious details were given:
The little boy with the teddy bear that he dropped at his sister's side when she was being revived. Looked like the same toy carried by the Other in the earlier ep.
When they found the bunker after setting up the camp off the beach the Dharma symbol for a different station (had an arrow in the center) from the one in which Desmond operated (had a swan in the center) was seen briefly at the entrance.
Something not resolved was Mr. Eko's origin. He seemed to be one of the passengers, given his clothes but his first appearance was on the beach. I couldn't tell if he was already wet from saving himself or from having begun rescuing others. So he could have originated from another place and is neither an Other nor a Flight 815 passenger. Maybe he was on the dope-running plane.
Since I always miss something, I'm sure there are other details someone else caught. These are what stood out to me.
