Ana-Lucia Cortez

Ana-Lucia Cortez was an ex-police officer who sat in the tail section of Flight 815 when it crashed. She took a leadership role in the group and led her party across the Island, reuniting them with the rest of the passengers. Ana was known to be very emotionally cold and her background in policing helped her with her leadership role. Ana-Lucia survived on the Island for 65 days before being shot and killed by Michael.

If you're going to make a business out of stealing babies, why is there only one pregnant woman on the Island (Sun), and why leave her husband alive to protest?

Seems like your return on investment is going to be extremely slow at that rate, and how many breeding women are available there? Kate, Sun, Claire, Juliet (if the Others can have children), the Rousseau women.

Not to mention of all the deaths we've seen so far, more of them were women (Libby, Ana Lucia, Shannon, Colleen) - why allow good breeders to be killed off?

It just doesn't make a lot of sense.
