tried that, found the little place where you type things in, but how do you submit it? i tried pressing enter but it did nothing.

ok here's what i've found.
if you send "Joop" a message saying "Breaking Strain" it goes all crazy and you get to read these letters and at the and a woman says some weird thing.
and if you go to Newsletter (sign up) and type in your screen name as Heir Apparent, Persephone will talk to you. type the password as Breaking Strain. (i think this is what you guys were talking about before.)
also on the homepage on the right hand side, it'll say something along the lines of "it has come to our attention that out site is experiencing disrutions, our appologies - please read the press release HERE"
click the "here" thing, and at the bottom of the letter it says "http://persephone.thehansofoundation.org/"
go to that site.
what is it?!

and if you keep messing around on there just looking at stuff... notice how the backround gets all scribble-y? what is that?

There's also a little hidden link box in the bottom left (you can find it by hitting the tab button until you see a little box in the black outside highlighted.) If you click on it, the background bubbles will shift and move, but nothing else happens at the moment. Maybe it will be significant later?

Hang on guys. You're starting to talk about two different clues. Here's the info dealing with the word 'heir apparent'.

Go out to the HansoFoundations site - http://thehansofoundation.org/

As you continue to search the website for more clues from Persephone, the clock suddenly changes and reads OB:EY. You try clicking the clock and it leads you to another website www.sublymonal.com . Monitors appear in a circle around the screen. You’re not sure what to do, but you’ve heard all about the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 so you begin clicking one monitor 4 times and then the next 8 times, and so on. It seems to be working…After clicking the last monitor 42 times, you are given a message that says “Code: Heir Apparent”.

You return to the Hanso Foundation site and notice in the Executive Bios section that there is a new dialogue box on the bio for Thomas Mittelwerk. You assume that Persephone has give you a code word, so you type “heir apparent” into the box and hit return.

For those of you who want to try playing the game, I won't say anything more. Except 1 thing: the clock only changes to OB:EY several times an hour (and it uses the numbers so for example it changes at: 1:04, 1:08, 1:15, 1:16, 1:23 and 1:42), so if you don't feel like waiting, you can skip that part and just go straight to www.sublymonal.com

there is a box in the middle of mittlewerks bio that you enter "heir apparent" into, and the password "breaking strain" is for the news letter

Has anyone noticed on the Hanso Foundation Mission Statement page, at the very bottom it has little logo`s for each department.
