Michael Dawson
Michael Dawson is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He had parental issues with his son, Walt, but the two have bonded with their time on the island. Michael shot dead Ana-Lucia and Libby in order to release Ben from captivity; and ultimately caused the capture of Jack, Sawyer and Kate, when he made a deal with the Others. His whereabouts are currently unknown after he left the Island with his son Walt on a motor boat.

I sent an email to Hugh McIntyre (he's one of the head Hanso people) to get contact info for the legal department. We'll see if anything comes of it.
I think the problem with this game is that people don't know what to do next... I am certain that to gain more info, you need to dig deep and do crazy things. Some doods have said they saw postings for Hanso Jobs in Denmark, I think you need to apply to them for more info or something. Also, there is a lot of website content that needs passwords and usernames and keyword entries that we simply don't know - There must be a way to figure it all out, they wouldn't create all this and let it dead end.
It seems that they will likely update the phone numbers, McIntyre says he'll be back in 1 week, and Dr. Mittelwerk says 2 weeks, so the messages will probably give more info then. Also, Persephone on the website says to check back regularly, so'll i'll be checking it out daily.
Keep everyone posted all!

Hi guys and welcome. I asked Tismer to start this thread and we can use it to post those things about the game we know for sure. Things like clues and puzzles that have been solved in case we have to go back and check things as time goes by. We can start other threads to discuss stuff and save this one for only those things that we know for sure.
Maeline - I think having a thread that lists all the Lost sites we can find is a good idea. I started one, but gave it the title 'Some Things about Lost Experience' which isn't a very descriptive title. Why don't you start a thread called 'Lost Sites'. I'll add all the ones from my other post to your thread. Maybe Tsimer will sticky it for us (I hate to bug her too much).

Got this from a a Lost Experience blog. From the other things this guy has posted, I think he's reliable.
Quote:
Now for Clue #23...From Andy:
"I've reverse engineered all of the shockwave files and extracted code
from them...and, I have bad news.
NONE of the login-boxes are functional. Neither is the text-box on the
Mental outreach page. The code for all of these boxes only look at
what you type to make sure it's more than 1 character per field, and
then automatically runs a failed message (varying depending on the
instance - on the exec-login it will display that your login is
incorrect; the others will give a form of network-timeout message).
The ONLY place in the entire site where it actually checks what you
type in is the Newsletter page, and as of now, we've seen all it has to
offer. If it's your first time, it will run the persephone sequence,
and subsequent visits to the page will bring you to the "No new
messages" screen. There is no case in which it will display anything
but those.
So...basically until the site is updated, there is nothing more we can
see on the main TheHansoFoundation.org page.

I went out this morning and started trying everything again. Here's a recap of what happens of the Hanso Foundation Web Site:
go to Hanso Foundation site.
Try Newsletter first
Enter the username of your choice, then you will be asked "can you see this?" Reply YES, then you will be asked for a password. Enter ‘breaking strain' and you will be granted access. A hacker named Persephone will tell you that you are logged in and to check back for messages. Then a picture of Joop is flashed on the screen. Go to the Joop page
At the Joop page
At the ‘Send Message to Joop’ prompt, enter ‘breaking strain’. A new page comes up, looks like a brain(?). White circles begin appearing. Connect them and then a red circle appears (actually, you don’t really need to connect them, the red circle will eventually appear). Click on it. You are taken to a letter to the Foundation blaming them for a new strain of disease in Africa. Click on the signature of the letter and you’re taken to another letter apologizing for the first letter. Click on the signature and red letters appear with a woman’s voice reading them:
The Hanso Foundation, setting world speed records for subverting authority.
First letter:
GWC Global Welfare Consortium 19th of September 2005
Rue Grande 1623
1221 Geneva 27 Switzerland
To: Dr. Roderick Johnson, MD, Ph.D, Clinical Director, Centers for Disease Control
From: GWC Executive Committee
Re: Violation of ethical guidelines—the Hanso Life Extension Project
Cc: Mr. Peter Thompson Vice President, General Counsel, The Hanso Foundation; Hugh McIntyre, Vice President and Communications Director, The Hanso Foundation
Dr. Johnson:
We have received word of an unfortunate and most alarming issue in the past days concerning research operations by the Hanso Foundation in the sub-Saharan region of Africa. Organization and must petition you for a formal investigation.
It has come to our attention that the new strain of meningococcal disease has been reported in the coastal villages of the United Republic of Tanzania. This strain is particularly alarming in that it has successfully breached the simian/homo sapiens barrier.
As the enclosed documentation and correspondence demonstrate, we have repeatedly asked the Executive Board of the HF for assistance in determining the transgenic disease and the research being conducted on primates in their experimental station in Zanzibar. As our requests have been met with utter and complete disregard, we feel that we have no other choice than to demand your immediate intervention. As the HF is using primates to research gene therapies intended for human use, the correlation should be obvious.
Considering the alarming nature of this outbreak and the mounting death toll, it is imperative that the HF immediately open the doors of their experimental station for inspection, and should a link be found between their work and this disease, cease and desist their activities immediately.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Lives are at stake.
Second letter:
Global Wellfare Consortium 25 Sept...
Rue Grande 1623
1221 Geneva 27
Switzerland
To: Dr. Roderick Johnson, M.D., Ph.D., Clinical...
Centers for Disease Control
From: GWC Executive Committee
RE: The Hanso Foundation Life-Extension Project
Dr. Johnson:
Please consider this a formal apology for the heated and
alarmist tone of our previous correspondence, as well as a
formal request for the withdrawel of former Director General
Jacques Maillot's request for an intervention into the
affairs of the Hanso Foundation.
In the time since Monsieur Maillot's letter, GWC's
inspection team has been welcomed with open arms into The
Hanso Foundation's Experimental Station in Zanzibar. Our
thorough examination of the Station has made it clear that
the benign, non-invasive research being conducted there
could not have possibly resulted in the outbreak of a
transgenic virus.
Because we appreciate the CDC's willingness to intervene
when lives are at stake, the last thing we want is to abuse
our close relationship with your organization -- or sound
alarms before the need is absolutely clear. Once again,
please accept our apologies, and our appreciation of your
diligent response to our correspondence.
Mr. Peter Thompson, Acting Director General
Global Health Consortium
