Ah. Judy Blume books always had sex, but it was like "I had my first period, what's going on?" sex talk.

Judy Blume's books do not "always have sex" She writes children's books that
deal with relationships like "Tales of a 4th grade nothing" and "Superfudge."
Her books deal with problems like divorce or dealing with younger or
older siblings or moving to a new city away from friends from a
young person's point of view.
I know reading material on the island is scarce, but that was a really
weird choice for Sawyer - there are a lot of books in the Hatch to go
through before getting that desperate.
