Sawyer's Book Club

I just saw in the promo pics for The Whole Truth a pic of Sawyer talking to Sun, and in his hand is the book, "Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret." by Judy Blume. Not really the typical reading material for him, I thought.

Thats pretty funny, thats what my younger siblings read whilst they were in elementary school.

Maybe he's getting desperate for good reading material.

It seems the show likes throwing little tie-ins with the books and the show. Isn't that book about some girl getting her period for the first time? And Sun is pregnant for the first time, which she probably discovered from the obvious reasons. That's the connection that flashed in my mind.

I doubt if he has much of a selection. We'll have to see if the sales for this book go up like the others.

Talking about books, I read that "Bad Twin" is being released in association with the show. that book is in the hatch.

The release date for the book is May 2006...so this could be a clue towards the speculation of lost being set in the future seeing that the book is in the hatch and has been for some time.

Henry drew the map on the back of a title page from "The Brothers Karamazov." Anyone see a connection? I tend to shy away from Russian literature, personally, but if anyone knows anything about it maybe you can find a connection?

The best part of that occurence was the shy bit of embarassment Sawyer took when she caught him reading a book about a teenager having her first period. Good LOST moment yes indeed.

What did he say the book was about?

He just said" it was predictable, and not nearly enough sex."
