Anyone have a theory on how a twin engine prop plane made it from Africa to the south pacific with enough fuel left to turn it into a funeral pyer? This one has got me confused.

This relies on the assumption that they are in the south-pacific. There are some that believe that they were thrown in to another dimension. I think that is a load of crud if i do say so myself. (which I just did....)

I guess it was the same principle that allowed the engine on the Oceanic plane to continue to run even though it was separated from the cockpit
and it'sfuel line was severed.

So suppose that they didnt jump another dimension, but rather shifted in space somehow or,due to electromagnetic principles , were propelled at several times the speed they could travel on their own engines. They would have traveled thousands of miles in that time over that last hour or so rather than hundreds.

Just thinking here........

Maybe part of the island's magnetic force was pulling them in, so they conserved fuel.
