James Ford
James Ford, better known by the alias of "Sawyer", is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Sawyer's early life was ravaged by the con man who ultimately claimed both his parent's lives through conning them, instantly orphaning him. As a child, he wrote a letter to this con man, hoping to deliver it to him in person one day. Sawyer set out to search for him, presumably after he left school, however he, himself, ultimately became a con man and became the man he was hunting, became Sawyer. Revenge plays a big part in Sawyer's life, starting with the real Sawyer. On the island, Sawyer has often used his abilities to con people to get his wishes, and keeps a stash of useful items with him. However, after the death of the real Sawyer, he has begun to rethink his ways and is slowly turning into a leader for the survivors.
He escaped from the captivity of the Others with Kate, and has formed a relationship with her.

FOUND IT! FARADAY link in hidden Lost WEBSITE?
Finally, If this whole mess of pages that are linked to together (starting with the Bentham page) isn't set up for the show it must be a source of plot information.
To see for yourself go to the Bentham site and click on the Button for the Research Firm. Scroll to the bottom and click on the Utopian Surgery (refers to surgery without anesthesia~Jack's appendix?). After you get to the page scroll down to find FARADAY and click on his name. It reads:
'Of Faraday's many brilliant discoveries in chemistry and physics, probably the best remembered today is his work on electromagnetic induction'
Michael Faraday and anaesthesia
Another interesting page to look at while at the BLTC Research site (accessed from BENTHAM) is the FAQ and who can make donations:
BLTC does not solicit contributions from members of the public. Billionaire philanthropists and charitable trust fund managers may contact us in confidence today
WOW eh? See for yourself. It's a shame no one will really read all this and see all the sites I've put in for ya. Not many people surfing it anymore after show end. For the select few enjoy and tell me what you think!

Rome- the web page with all the crazy links is real interesting. I love the term 'paradise engineering' there...and many other connections- which I'll devote some time to explore better, when I can..
Meanwhile, cool link you had from Stanford Encyc. Philosophy SEP is the best of its category online and that article is an awesome read !! if you like a challenging hardcore read that is

(one other link on the SEP article, equally interesting for LOST, I think:
Identity and Individuality in Quantum Theory (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy) )
