Jin-Soo Kwon
Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

Why are the freighter people taking so long...
...to go to the island and find Ben? It seems like they've been floating off-shore of the island for forever now. Why don't they do something? I know Cpt. Gault is having trouble with some members of his crew going a little wacko, but it's not the whole crew. And anyway, the faster they get Ben, the faster they can all get home again and away from that craziness. F
Further, why are none of the Losties asking Ben whey the freighter people want him in the first place? (Ok, I know. That would be too easy. But still! Wouldn't YOU ask?)
I have to say the the slow advancement of the story on the island was so much more bearable in the first and second seasons when we had flashbacks to keep us busy learning about the characters and how their lives all fit together. I though the flashbacks were a great storytelling device and I miss them dearly. I miss that insight into the characters. I felt like I really knew them. Now it's all about the slow advancement of these "bigger" stories: Widmore, the Others, life after the return to civilization, etc. It's all action and intrigue now, and I miss the human element. Anyone else feel that way?

What about the insight you get about characters from seeing them in the FFs? The character development stage is over, it's time to get to the story IMHO.

I LOVE the flash forwards, but there haven't really been so many of them. Well, I love most of the flash forwards. Kate's court case bugged me. Too easy of a resolution to that mess. Of course, the new What Happened to Claire? mystery almost made up for it.
I also HATE the flash forwards because it's an indication that the story is winding down and preparing to end. I loved the getting-to-know-you stage with the characters. I miss that.

I know it is heart breaking to know the show is going to end someday. I feel that way too. But could you imagine if Lost went on for 10 seasons!? People would be pulling their hair out at how many mysteries the writers had stacked up over the years. The story would become so convoluted people would just stop watching. (well, not me) . Sure we'd get the zombie season (hope you got the joke) but then what?

Absolutely CPPAH! I think that would have been one of the first questions out of my mouth. "Hey Ben? WHY do the freighter people want you? What did you do?"
